Spinning Reel Line Choice
You know, I have been fishing with Berkley Fireline on all my spinning reels for a couple of years and have absolutely zero problems with "wind knots". I actually use the Crystal for everything over 25lbs. and the original for everything under. Its been a great line and I really haven't been able to find another braid that is quite as sensetive or as workable as Fireline. I fishing in everything from big lakes, deep water, to fast caynons with big current and lots of wind without any issues. The only thing that I can think of that might be causing the knots is that if you cast overhand, most people have a tendency to release to early in the cast and get a very tall arc. This causes an excess amount of line to be taken of the reel and lay slack on top of the water. When you are dealing with an extremely light line such as Fireline you don't want those loops to cross or, as you have found out, you can get wind knots or line tangels. You might try switching to a one handed side arm cast like you would if you were baitcastingor just releasing later during an overhand cast as to not let out as much slack. Works wonders for me, and I catch a lot of fish that I would have otherwise missed on an inferior line. Hope this helps if you decide to stick with Fireline or any other braids out there. Tight lines brother.

Stupidest Thing You've Done While Fishing?
Yeah. I didn't lose anything, I keep it all in a dry box when I'm on the boat. Even got my rod back. When I got home, to make matters worse, my wife laughed at me for the rest of the night.

Fishing In Current
Hey guys, I'm new at this and need some help. I live in Lewiston, Id., right were the Snake River and the Clearwater River meet. Big river, lots of water, decent current. For those of you in the north west, think Columbia River. Most of the shore line is all man made, rock dikes and the like. The problem is that I can't find any good info on bass fishing in a big river. Everything that I have read or watched about bass fishing is all about lakes (except for the one Gene put up about fishing behind bridge pillons, of which we have none). So...HELP! Any good bits of information or good videos? Any good personal experience? Anything is appreciated!

Stupidest Thing You've Done While Fishing?
Two days ago I missed what was probably going to crush my pb by a few pounds. I got so mad that I threw my brand new GLoomis into the lake. And then jumped in after it.

Northern Idaho
I'm trying to find the name and contact info the club in the Lewiston/Clarkston valley here in Idaho. Looked every where, but all the info I can find is all out-dated. I know that they put on a couple tourneys up at Dworshak Res. a couple times through out the year. It's like Clearwater Bass Anglers...something like that. Any ideas?
