Shad are schooling like crazy on Center Hill now. I had success with a super fluke with a weighted head and road runner. Too bad I was trying to drop shot the big boys all day.

I only throw 4 poles at once. Two of those are baitcasters. Both have 50 LB power pro. 8 or 12 lb fluoro leaders. I never noticed much difference in line digging in the reel, but I did notice it was harder to cast thinner diameter braids.

I drop shot the fat 4.5 in Aaron's magic, bold bluegill. Baby bluegill in the winter. Warmouth looks like it'd slay.

I really like the finish on them, but that's about it. A plain old Pflueger President is the same price and I don't think there are better spinner reels than the Pesidents, Arbors, XTs, Purists for under $100. After $100, I only look at Shimano and Supremes, Patriarchs.

Shallow Shad-Rap in Shad for everything. Wading creeks or streams, rivers or lakes in my kayak, fishing points out of my boat. Whatever. I almost always have a Shallow Shad-Rap tied on. Now I use the scatters too.

Lews Speed Spool and Shimano Compre or St. Croix Mojo.

I got mine with the wife. (I mean it's really hers) Heh. You're too far away to go to Hook1 in Hendersonville often, but I went there a few months ago and he had a Angler Mirage drive for 1000 bucks on consignment. I went back to buy it and it was gone. Check craigslist and LSN. Also, if you come up to Center Hill/Caney Fork - They have demo days from Jackson at Big Rock Market. I think they are having one soon. You could try out whatever. They also have used stuff for sale.

I wouldn't use a magic eraser. Those things are just ground glass. It's really abrasive.

Woven plastic pads like scotch-brite and simple green are what I used to clean my kayak and boat.

I've got a mirage drive hobie, so sitting for sure. I'm near Jackson, so I've been out in those boats too. I like their elevated seating. The newest 10' looks awesome. Hook1 is near me too. Wilderness look good. I just can't get away from Mirage Drive.

I've had sucess putting any craw on a shakehead. My favorites are rebel craws in stream/creeks. Yum Crawbugs rigged with slider head. Paca Craws as a trailer.

I don't think it's any competiton at that pricepoint. Shimano wins every time. That being said. I own only Pflueger spinning reels now.
