If you could only have a sonar with GPS or DI, which would you choose and why?

Im looking for a new single bank on board charger. I was looking at the Noco and Minnkota, ran across a powermania? Anyone ever heard of them before? All 3 are close in price, both the Noco and Minnkota are 10amp, the powermania is 8 amp. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I have used Siebert jigs for a couple years now, they are really nice. In fact I like them so much they are the only jigs I throw. You wont be disappointed.

Just wondering how much time you guys have to fish, and how much more time you would like to have? For me working second shift and going to school a couple mornings during the week, I find that it's only really the weekends that I have time to fish. But Saturday morning is tough when you work until 11pm Friday then try to get up at 4 or 5am. Also because of my boat storage situation, it's kind of a hassle during the week to go at all. I feel like once a weekend just isn't enough, and it's kind of putting out my fishing fire. Does anyone else have a similar feeling because of not fishing enough?

I have been all over, we caught probably 14-15 total for 2 days now. Biggest was 4.2, avg around 2lbs. But yesterday there was like 20mph NNE wind, this morning ther was zero wind and bluebird skies. Another front is coming in tomorrow from the south, I'm confident they will turn back on. I know this place is better than it has been this past weekend.

You must have caught them all, been here for 2 days and it's slowwwwwwww. Then again the cold front yesterday could have something to do with it.

I have an XX, the tour versatile. It's plenty sensitive and stout. I have never used a Dobyns so I can't comment on it, but I think you will love the XX.

I have the ZX frog rod as well. I love it for frogs, not so much for jigs though.

Idk man, the only knot I have ever used in my 25 years of fishing has been the palomar knot. I use it on every type of line, and as far back as I can remember, say 15 years or so, I have never broken off at the knot. That has to say something.

I have a Micro Magic, I had a Ghost. I love the MM, the Ghost was a good rod until the tip snapped off after about 2 years. It happens with every company, I have broken All Stars, Abu's, a Falcon, St Croix's, even a BPS crankin stick. That said, for the money I think there are better rods than the Ghost out there so im not going to buy another one. I would however buy a Micro Magic Pro in the future.

I hate that place, but I always seem to catch fish there. I have never heard it being called one of the premier fisheries here, just one of the largest. I have seen a few 5's pulled out of there, and I had one come off at the boat that was probably pushing 6 or so. IMO there are much better places in RI than wordens, at about half the size or less. The state record came out of a 39 acre pond.

I had a ghost and liked it until about 12" snapped off on a hookset, after only 2 years. On the other hand, I have some bps rods that I have had for an eternity and have had no issues with, all under $100. I have a carbonlite from when they first came out, that gets my vote.

I owned 2 infernos, they were really nice rods. Only thing I didn't like was the xf tip, if they made them with a fast tip I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.

My local walmart does not have an auto entrance, im lucky they have batteries. I do have an interstate store, but they are way to expensive, and last time I had them they crapped out after 2 years.

I have the frog rod as well. I like the grips, but let me just say it does not double as a jig rod for me.

For those of you who use the ever starts from Walmart, what do you do with your core? Do you bring it to the returns desk before you get the new battery, or do you throw the old battery on your cart and give it to the cashier?

I have and like the side and down imaging, I like it to see whats down there. However, I will say this. I only use it to find stuff, then switch back to the regualr sonar. If you watch closely on the Bassmasters tv broadcasts, you never see the pros units on side/down imaging when they are fishing, they are using regular sonar.

I have been killing them on the 2.5 the past couple of weeks, I dont own any 1.5's. I need a couple more though, half my bill broke off on my favorite one the other day, not really sure how.

I have, or should I say had a 7'3 Heavy Ghost and was using it for jigs. I had it for about 2 years and really liked it, until the first 13" snapped off on a hookset last weekend. If you can swing it, bump up to the Micro Magic Pro, or even the old Micro Magic. The older Micro Magics can be had on auction sites for $109-115 brand new.

Depends on what it is. Jigs arent cheap, so you bet your ass im going to get it. On the other hand, if im in a tree with braid, the tree comes to me
