Leader For Crankbait?
Always a mono or fluoro leader with braid. Heck, since I use Seaguar Tatsu Fluoro, I use 10 pound p line fluoro leader since I crank sharp rip rap and rough stuff, so when the line gets abraided I just shorten the leader till I have to tie another. This way I don't waste line.

Punching Matted Vegetation In Shallow Water
A lake I fish has matted weeds but they only grow in 1 - 4 feet of water. I do catch fish on frogs in these weeds. Is this too shallow for punching or should I try it?

Reels In The Rain? Need To Clean Now?
I got rained on yesterday for a while, not real hard just a steady drizzle for about 30 minutes twice. During about half of that I had them covered with a tarp since I don't have a rod locker. With water getting in them, does that mean I have to clean them now in order to get top notch performance?

7.1:1 For Crankbaits?
Nooooo. I don't like anything but a 5 ratio for cranks, though I can see some merits to a 6 ratio for heavy cover shallow cranks.

Propbait Retrieves
Day in and day out, what retrieve seems to work best? Of course I have to let the fish tell me, but overall a rip/pause has been best for me, but I've caught them just reeling it, and on long sweeps of the rod.

What Is The Best Prop Bait?
I like the skitterprop and torpedos, especially the magnum and baby torpedos. I really like the cotton cordell crazy shad and the Live Target blueback herring for double prop baits.

What Type Of Line Do U Like For Pitching
Hi vis mono with a fluoro leader, since I'm a line watcher. I prefer 14 - 20 pound test depending on the cover.

Favorite Murky Water Carolina Rig Bait
What are you guy's favorite baits to use on a carolina rig in murky or heavily stained water. I have decided on full size zoom brush hogs, 8" - 12" worms, and lizards of over 8".

Buzzbait Rod Help
I like a 7 M' or MH Abu Veritas Winch for buzzbaits. I like a parabolic bend to keep from pulling away from the fish and keeping them pegged. Any good M or MH cranking rod is perfect for buzzbaits. In heavy vegetation use braid.

Deep Cranking Reel
Another vote for the Curado 200I PG with the 5.5:1 gear ratio. It BOMBS your lures and the external brake dial helps you really keep backlashes at pay in changing wind conditions.
