Hi vis mono with a fluoro leader, since I'm a line watcher. I prefer 14 - 20 pound test depending on the cover.

i use 20lb sufix elite unless im pitching in heavy cover of punching then i use 50lb power pro

It all depends on the lure and cover.  I pitch with almost every combo I own with the exception of my crank bait rods.

I pitch and cast with:

20 lb braid - spinning

30 lb braid - spinning

20 lb floro - casting

40 lb braid - casting

All braid hi vis yellow and might be used with a leader if I feel the need.

When doing the heavy pitchin I use 30 to 40 pound power pro with a 17 to 20 pound Silver Thread Fluro leader.  Double uni knot.....five wraps on braid side and four on fluro....works for me.

for pitching i like throwing 10lb power pro as backing on the reel , and spool 10lb Seagur Red label flurocarbon.

the red label stuff works great , and is on par with  the yellow label seagur.

20lb fluro unless I'm fishing grass then I use 30lb braid

depends on the lure and the type of cover/structure:

30lbs braid- sparse cover/finesse pitchin

25 lbs fluoro- clear water

65lbs braid- when you need to go all in(I use this the most)

My flippin' stick has 50lb. braid with a 15lb. FC from time to time.

I use 15 lb Big Game in heavy cover and if I have enough weight to pitch it . Most of the time I use 12 lb xl because it does better on lighter weights . Its a trade off strength vs being able to present a lure .

Braid with fluorocarbon leader. Line size depends on the cover I am pitching to. In really stained water or very thick grass, I skip the leader and run straight braid.

The vast majority of pitching presentations that I make are done with fluorocarbon lines.  Currently I Seaguar Abrazx spooled up on 4 different rigs.  One has 10 lb rtest for "finesse pitching",  a couple of others have 15, that's what I use the most.  My Bubba drop shot rig, which doubles as my heavy pitching rig has 20 lb Abrazx on it.   This season I've started throwing wacky senko's on spinning gear with a braid/fluorocarbon leader.  The jury is still out on how I like this set up.  I like the brightly colored braid, which works as a strike indicator while letting the bait drop.  I'm having some accuracy issues with the spinning gear, which I didn't have last year on bait casting gear.  The spinning gear allows me to expand my pitching range somewhat and that probably contributes to the problem.

Heavy vegetation/punching though I go with a minimum of 65 pound braid.

I'm using Suffix 832 65# with a 20# CX leader and KastKing 40# with a 15# CX leader.

I'm going to dump the KastKing for 40# 832. It casts great.
