All Fishing Banned on Lk Wa and Sammamish!
Also, why don't they mention all the toxic medication metabolites that flow back into Puget Sound via treated sewage. Seattle. Tacoma, Portland, and San Fran Sicko close of portions off publically owned watersheds to all access, even though 98% of all municipal watersheds allow fishing and boating across the country. Yet for some reason, toxin laden treated sewage is okay to dump back into the same rivers. From a scientific standpoint it makes zero sense. It's time to take back what is ours and pass laws to strip these local, state, and federal agencies of the power to rule by decree. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves.

Fixing a crank that takes on water.
Is the best way to fix a crank that takes on water to find the cracks and use a waterproof, clear epoxy sealant?

All Fishing Banned on Lk Wa and Sammamish!
Due to Salmon? Man I'm tired of fishery managers having the power to rule by decree. Our republic was not meant for unelected bureaucrats to rule like kings.

Question about crankbaits
Shallow square bills, or 1/4 ounce lipless. If you are ripping traps through grass, you need braid.

Utah's Gunlock reservoir to be poisoned
My point is bass being present in a system isn't going to make a difference anyway. They are not a reason nor an impediment to the recovery of rough fish or any fish.

Spro or Booyah Pad Crasher
I like both, the pad crasher walks a bit easier and doesn't fill with water as bad since it has a drain hole in the back. But I say have both because Spro has some colors the pad crasher doesn't. Really for frogs, all you need is a natural frog color, a bluegill type color, a white, and a black. The spro is more durable though, but I can't say it has a worse hookup rate than the Pad Crasher.

Best cranking rod out of these 3
Go with the 7' medium for all around cranking applications, and the 7' MH for heavier cranks. True deep cranks call for a MH composite or glass rod of at least 7'6" and Powell doesn't make one in that model. For deep ones, go with the Max 3D 7'11" MH composite. In fact I like a medium heavy crankbait rod for spinnerbaits and topwaters 3/8 of an ounce or over.

Peppers Custom Lures Spinner Baits
Pepper spinnerbaits and pepper jigs are the best of the best in both lure types. Just have great materials, action, and flat out catch fish. No company makes better but some other companies still make great ones.

Best trophy bass bait
I would say a swimbait, but jigs and topwaters are tops on my list for conventional gear.

Utah's Gunlock reservoir to be poisoned
I know your views on this, and they are in the minority. We will respectfully disagree. I am a man of fishery science, may finish my BA in fisheries soon and start my masters. The ecosystem won't crash when some chubs and other rough fish become extinct. Besides, bass are not the reason these fish are endangered anyway, nor a true impediment to their recovery. It is habitat loss through dams and diversions, not to mention chemical changes in the water,

Gamma FC Vs. Tatsu
Nope, no zebra mussels, I'm just constantly grinding the rocks deep cranking. The P line CX leader is tougher than main line fluoros, so I use about 3' of it, and that gives me a few re ties. Once it's out, I just connect it to the Tatsu with double uni knots.
-
Gamma FC Vs. Tatsu
I splurged and bought Tatsu last year. It has almost no memory and is pretty strong. However it seems not to be very abrasion resistant along jagged rip rap, so I use fluoro leader material on the end. Anyone here use Gamma? Is it as castable as Tatsu? How is the abrasion resistance?
-
Seaguar Tatsu-what have I done??
It's good stuff, but jagged rocks chew it up pretty good. In that case, use a fluoro leader so you don't waste line. That way you are only putting new leaders on.

Best reel near 120 dollars
Shimano Casitas, Shimano Citica, Daiwa Tatula, Lew's Speed Spool, Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier. I would go with the Citica, unless you need a slow gear ratio, in which case go with the Tatula, or the BPS PQ, which isn't quite as good as the Tatula.

spinning setup. necessary?
Anything under 1/4 of an ounce calls for spinning gear IMO, though I can pitch a 3/16 ounce weight just fine on a typical jig/pitchin' stick. Even some 1/4 ounce baits, such as balsas, cast poorly on casting gear. If you need 8 pound test or less, use spinning gear. I also throw lighter suspending jerkbaits on spinning gear with 15 pound braid and a fluoro leader. I would say you should own four or five spinning setups and probably a dozen casting setups and you'll be covered. Can never have too many really.

Minn Kota Endura Max Quit Working
Sent it in, they have it now. I hope they replace it rather than try to repair it. At least it's going to be a week or so of unsettled weather and a bunch of cold fronts during my down time.

Utah's Gunlock reservoir to be poisoned
Chubs and spine dace. Sport fish do not cause their decline. Sport fish are more important than rough fish anyway. I heard the bill was killed in committee. I hope this to be true. It is dams and diversions that cause fish to become endangered, rarely non native sport fish. Frankenfeinstein is one of the worst of the worst, along with Barbara Boxer and Pelosi. Our politicians in Colorado like Scott Tipton, Governor Hickenlooper, Cory Gardner, and Michael Bennett are not much better. Water users team up with environmentalists and extremist biologists, labeling our gamefish scapegoats for native fish and native trash fish declines so they can keep using water without having to jump through extra hoops. Classic case of the schoolyard bully.

Minn Kota Endura Max Quit Working
I bought a new Minn Kota Endura Max 55lb thrust transom mount motor for my 12' aluminum boat, which I have always powered with only a trolling motor since I fish mostly small lakes. Anyways all of the sudden my motor stopped working at all, especially in reverse. If I would let it sit for a few minutes and disconnect ot from the battery, it woild work again, but eventually it would fail to engage when I put it in reverse. It would often not work in forward either. I am sending it back to Minn Kota since I just got it and its stilln under warranty. Anybody have any ideas what the problem is?

Utah's Gunlock reservoir to be poisoned
The crooks with the Utah DWR are poisoning Gunlock Reservoir to kill smallmouth bass, because they are afraid they will get into the Virgin River and kill endangered trash fish. The poisoning will ALMOST all the fish and will ruin the fishery. Utah and Colorado have the worst management in the nation. Western bass management SUCKS, because this new view of bass as an invasive species in the eyes of the government and environmentalists is spreading, despite near unanimous public opposition. Call Governor Gary Herbert and tell him this is wrong and the poisonings and sport fish killing must stop, endangered fish in the rivers or not.
