*It is great to hear you are having success with the 703c. for 1.5 KVD square bills but also being able to switch over to Senkos or Flukes makes the 703c. sound extra versatile !

For the sake of simplicity , I'll use chatterbait to define all vibrating jigs : What goes into your thought process or factors deciding on whether you will throw a chatterbait a particular day instead of a swim jig and vice versa ?

+1 ... The only super glue to use in my opinion is "Loctite Super Glue Gel"... Mendit works as suggested but the stuff is volatile in my experience with evaporation or becoming a solid with exposure to air . *I like the suggestion to throw ripped Keitechs in a bag then set aside an hour or so to mend a whole bunch at one time with Mendit .

+1 on the KVD line Conditioner - it will make you like #15 lb. or higher YZH a lot more !

*Nice Dobyns rods set up ! ... The 705cb & 703c would be of interest as I have a 734c & 735c already . You reminded me I need to check those out .

#10 #15 lb. braid mainline + #8 lb. co-poly or FC leader ... Now you will like your spinning outfit .

+1 here ... Other craws to consider would be the Bio Spawn Vile Craw , the Yum Christie Craw , Berkley Power Bait Chigger Craw - or for a finesse drop shot try the Z-Man TRD CrawZ .

Some fishing days you may just want to enjoy being on the water and expend minimal effort while you fish for bass . If you were looking to do the easiest , lazy , do nothing lure set up in spinning or bait casting set up - what would it be ? This would be what you would do casually strolling down a bare bank , sitting on a dock or slowly drifting on a calm lake , etc. which has minimal hang up hazards : Here is what comes to mind for me : 1) Senko (wacky rigged weightless or T-Rig with VMC Drop Dead 1/16th oz. weighted hook) ... Cast and let fall with a pop or two , reel back in and repeat . 2) Ned Rig ... Dead stick or slow stop & go retrieve . 3) Trick Worm ( T - Rig weightless or with a light bullet weight ) ... Slow stop and go retrieve , reel back in and repeat . 4) Drop Shot (using a Z-Man Finesse Shadz) ... Cast out and hold relatively still with an occasional gripping of the rod handle ; ZMan shadz will do the work for you . *What would be your easiest , expend the least energy , relaxed set up for bass'n you would turn to when the mood calls for it ?

+1 but I have only found in 3.8" and larger ... I like the Keitech 2.8" and 3.3" sizes a lot as well .

*What size for fresh water rods ?

The 3/32nd oz. #1 size hook looks like it would be a good all - around size for the 2.8 FAT Swing Impact - moving up to 1/8th oz. if the wind picked up .

With various finesse jig head sizes available for the Keitech 2.8 FAT (#1 or 1/0 hook size) is anyone fishing the 2.8 on a jig head less than 1/8 oz. (i.e. 3/32 oz. or 1/16th oz.) ? I ask because in shallower water applications (below 10') do you find the rate of fall on the 2.8 size to be too fast with a 1/8th oz. jig size or you find yourself having to reel a bit faster than you would like to keep the 2.8 up a little higher ? ... Gosh , the 2.8 FAT Impact sure is tiny which is creating proper jig head weight doubts (lol !)

5:4:1 Ratio - deep diving , big crank baits 6:4:1 Ratio - square bill crank baits , spinner baits , chatter baits , swim jigs (the standard ratio for a quite few years) 7:1 Ratio - jigs , T-Rigs , top water (many say the new standard ratio for many things other than deep diving cranks) 8:1 ~ 10:1 Ratio : frogs , pitching , flipping

*Anyone tried a Zoom "Speed Worm" on a chatterbait as a trailer (just about everyone has some stashed away) ? That big oval , flat Zoom speed worm tail rigged vertically as a chatterbait trailer may be interesting with an inch or so cut off of the head ... If too much then a Zoom Ultravibe version speed worm as a chatterbait trailer with an inch or so cut off of the head may be a cool deal with a little less tail thump .

So many positive reviews for JJ's (minus lone dissenter Glenn) - I haven't made my mind up ... For adding chartreuse to tails I have used Spike It but most seem to like JJ's over Spike It . If I don't need to add color to craws , worms , etc. I'm more into Kick 'N Bass , BANG or Pro Cure however I just bought a plain flavor tube of Mega Strike to try on TRD's .

*Bait Casting or Spinning ?

*I would probably elect to go with 5/16th oz. myself (1' to 12' water depth) ... I'm sure the 3/16th oz. and 7/16th oz. have applications as well (depending on fall rate you wish to have , trailer effect on the jig head size , etc.)

*What sizes are you using : 3/16th oz. , 5/16th oz. , or 7/16th oz. ?

I have over looked this jig - I like it and will have to order a few !

*Looks good ! ... Kill it while retrieving for just a second then start reeling again I believe will get you more bites by letting that Trick Worm tail work for you ... Do that a few times during each cast and report back !

*I always heard JJ's would melt elaztech (Z-Man) soft plastics ??

Great Tips !! ... Forgot to ask what is the temp and time range of hanging jig heads to bake in the toaster over ? I was thinking 325 degrees for 20 minutes (may be too much / too little though ?)
