  1. Glock 23 every day. On those rare occasions that I go smaller I can carry my G26.
  2. Scott, thanks for the clarification! I did not know that.
  3. Welcome from NW Indiana!
  4. Scott....I believe with the DSI models you can choose which frequency you want to see. I have mine setup split screen so I get downscan on one and traditional sonar on the other. You can also overlay them to get the best of both worlds. My .02
  5. Tip ups and golden roaches! We catch bass all the time thru the ice!
  6. I agree. Definitely get the dsi version. Makes finding bottom structure very easy. If you can afford it cabelas has the elite 4hdi with lake map pro for 299. That's a killer small setup. I have the elite 7x hdi and I and wish I had the gps.

That's great to hear! Congratulations! It has taken me 12 years to get my degree...and no, i'm definitely NOT a doctor!
  9. I use a mono backing on all my reels.
  10. Have you considered backing your spool with cheaper mono? Will save you some valuable fluoro in the long run and it weighs less! I also use arbor knot, then uni to uni for line splice.
  11. That will be on my list as well! I just enjoy my BC more than my spinning setup. Would love to have a light rig!
  12. Plastics I usually throw with 1/8 oz weights or bigger. When I go weightless or lighter I use my Stradic/St. Croix combo. I was asking about the reel based on the newer tech of the braking systems. I am assuming that the Revo might handle the lighter baits better which would leave the Curado to throw the heavier stuff. Time this spring will tell! Thanks everyone who offered up responses. MK
  13. I recently just purchased a second bait caster because I am interested in trying a new brand. Currently I have a Curado 201E7 paired to a Crucial M/F 7'2" and use it primarily for throwing jigs, cranks, and spinners. I just couldn't pass up the killer deal I got on gen3 Revo Premier so I have one of those on the way! So my question is this...will the premier be better at throwing lighter tackle? Thinking of soft plastics and lighter jigs. I was planning on picking up another Crucial in MH/F as well and I can swap the reels around if needed. Any opinions out there? Thanks, Mk
  14. I started young and fished a lot through high school. Hung up the rods all through college and in the beginning of my career. Picked it back up about 3 years ago when I started taking my youngsters. And as you would imagine...I'm hooked again! I figure I'm only 31 so there are lots of fish ahead of me!
  15. I need to get up there! Usually when people hit Erie they are going for Wallies. I am thinking maybe branching out is in order!
  16. Nice pickup Hootie! My neighbors thought I was nuts too casting in my yard after rebuilding my Curado E! Can't wait for Spring but at least I am fishing the hard water! Fish on!
  17. Wow!!! Where abouts did you take those smallies??
  18. Man...when a deal is to good to be true....... Stinks that they would not honor that! My guess is that they would be sold out in minutes!
  19. Haha. Interesting story. I might have had to laugh as well if it happened to me. All in good fun!
  20. I use cal's on the drag and gears with reelX on the bearings. Works well for me.
  21. Love Smallies! My favorite fish to catch.
  22. Journeyman Buggy Whip Wheat. Very nice bourbon!
  23. Looking forward to trying it out as well. Switching my e7 over to FC Sniper from braid.
