Fished a local pond today No bites but a beautiful day and tried out the new set ups I'm assuming no fish kill since no fish were floating?

Threw the Tatula again today and it was much better than last time out. No bites but was definitely smoother and I'm starting to really like this set up. Threw crank baits on my pflueger patriarch and this is one awesome smooth reel.

And to top it off when I complained to them they didn't offer me anything for my troubles. You need to make it right

Let me the guy that says I don't like TW I always have my on line orders shipped to my office because nobody is at home to sign for packages They said my first order had to ship to the billing address I told them that was stupid and I told them to instruct UPS to leave the package without a signature When I got home there was a note from ups and no package TW has lost my business

I don't have much experience with spin reels To me bait casters are easy

I really hate putting line on spinning reels I would rather have my gums scraped But I gotta do it

That winding machine goes like 500 rpm so that wouldn't surprise me I pulled the remainder of line off so I will re spool it myself Hopefully that will be the difference Plus I'll spray some kvd on there Thanks for the advice guys

I bought the kids the rods and reels and 6 lb Berkley mono Cabelas lined the reel and then today the line is just popping off the reel. What am I doing wrong? This is so frustrating Do I need to use kvd line conditioner to prevent this? Do I need to go up to 8 or 10 lb line? Fluoro? Braid? It's for the kids Any suggestions to avoid this would be appreciated

Well I went out and spent $220 today got the boys each an abu cardinal with a Cabelas pro guide rod and spooled em with 6 lb mono on each Supposed to be 65 tomorrow so we'll be trying em out tomorrow afternoon after church

I bought a ton of jigs earlier this month and they are beautiful compared to the ones on the shelves And the order turn around time was fast And I don't think bass resource is going to have a sponsor that sells less than good quality items

They are 7 and 4 almost 5 They did well with my old pflueger president but that broke on accident last year But these 25 Shakespeare combos was one cast last week and the reels just spooled Kids were not happy just watching me fish They both know how to use spinning reels it's not their fault

I'm sure some of you guys have kids who love to fish with you like I do but I have had it with these $25 pieces of $!/@ kid set ups that don't even last one outing. I'm willing to spend $100 for a decent rod/reel for my boys to share. Any suggestions? Brand/size? Would anyone suggest a crappie set up?

Thanks for rippin on me guys. If you look at my topic I state "and" not "vs" and rated each reel separately I felt the Tatula reel was heavy and not very smooth. The curado did not feel heavy to me even though it weighs more Perhaps I should not post anymore
