I threw both a Tatula and a curado 300e today and liked the curado a lot more

After today I would take curado over Tatula in a heartbeat

That is funny but maybe it was because the spinner weighed more than the crank bait

Well I finally got out today at our local salt Creek (runs from my local still frozen lake) No bites but felt good to get out nonetheless Limited throwing area about 30 yards. I am not impressed with the Daiwa Tatula reel / rod set up. Felt very heavy and not very smooth. Useful 15 lb fluoro with a spinner bait. Now my new curado 300e on a 7' 8 st. Croix mojo bass with crank bait Wow!!!! Barely threw it out there and it hit the timber on the other side of the creek Love that set up and can't wait until I can throw it out into the open water. Very smooth and could feel the crank wiggling. Just my personal thoughts Man that first cast of the year feels like I broke a diet with a porterhouse steak with garlic mashed potatoes

I bought and have rod socks and reel covers on my rods/reels but was curious if they are really necessary and do you all use them? The rod socks I think make more sense because of bumping and scratch reduction. Growing up as a caddy at the local country club we would make fun of the guys that used iron and putter covers on their golf clubs. Just curious if I'm overdoing it?

We do bring that up from time to time. What if one if us weren't on line at that very time? We're just glad we were both online that day

After reading this thread I decided to go out and I picked up a bottle of the KVD conditioner However I set up all my reels with line last week so when should u spray this on my line? I'm not going to be fishing for another one to two weeks waiting for the ice to melt Any advice would be appreciated

My wife and I met in an AOL chat room about 13 years ago mi February and went on our first live date 13 years ago on Tuesday When I gave the room my a/s/l (age/sex/location) which was common courtesy in chat rooms she pm'd me advising that she lived in the town next to mine. We chatted for a week before she would give me her phone number when she did finally give me her number I called and we talked for hours each night the first few days and so I asked her out on a date she was hesitant because you know you don't know who people really are from chat rooms I kept suggesting we meet for coffee at a Dennys or some other public place that we could meet to assure her I was an Ok guy. Finally she agreed to go out with me and we met at a local bar by my house and the rest is history. We dated and that August I asked her (after asking her dad's permission because I'm old fashioned) to marry me. Married the following August and over 11 years later we have 2 boys (7 and 4) who love to go fishing.

Hey guys - my family and my sisters family are going on a vacation to Gatlinburg, TN this summer and see that it isn't too far from Lake Douglas which i saw is around #45 on the top 100 lakes for bass fishing. i was wondering if anyone knows of any guides that you could/would reccommend for me and my brother in law for a day down there? thanks
