  1. Another thing that I am going to add is bps is an expensive store for the most part and your dollars don't go a long way even if your buying the cheapest items on the shelves. With that being said we all know what we want when we go there and I just think it's rude for them to push us on this stuff taking for granted that we are spending out hard earned dollars there. I know I'm overreacting on this but it always does bother me. I guess I don't really care for sales people
  2. Pflueger patriarch bc reel Abu sx bc reel Curado e 300 reel Chronarch ci4 (this morning Daiwa Tatula rod to match up with the Tatula reel I won at the Chicago fishing show 3 st croix rods and 1 mojo bass glass cranking rod Tons of baits
  3. My bps has their booth right in the middle of the fish section and 2 or 3 are walking around with their clipboards I like the suggestion to put your cell phone to your ear when they approach
  4. And it wasn't a one time event either. A couple of months ago I asked an associate there if they had any of the live bait bait ball crank baits and the guy looked at me like I was an idiot because he had never heard of them. He didn't even bother to say "I'll check on that" he just brushed me off. I told him I saw the baits in a bass magazine too. You would think that an employee of a company would be somewhat knowledgeable of what they sell
  5. I think I'm done with BPS unless they have incredible sales like the rod/reel trade ins. It could be just my store but I feel their customer service is second to Cabelas and they constantly pester me to sign up for their time shares. Of course I'm buying from Ron at Valley when I want a brand that he sells Just venting
  6. Waiting for my first order to come in and placed another small order today with a t - shirt
  7. Thanks guys, Dellaware Valley - i'll be sending them to you late this fall.
  8. As everyone knows here I'm fairly new to fishing and recently picked up a few bait caster reels and plan on doing a lot of fishing this year. I read a lot on these boards about you guys flushing the bearings. Do I have to do this? Unfortunately I am not a very 'hands on' kind of guy and the thought of tinkering around with them I'm afraid I would damage them or worse destroy. So with that being said I would be willing to take them to a shop that could perform this service. And my main question is how often should I have them flushed and oiled during the fishing season? Fishing Illinois and Wisconsin if that makes a difference Appreciate any help/advice
  9. I had a couple of extra large beefs for dinner tonight so I might need a 4X now.
  10. Absolutely - but you need to offer them in 3X for us less petite peeps and considering i placed my first order today i'd be proud to buy and wear it.

  14. Yep I waited until last weekend to buy my rods and reels. How did you buy your gear in the fall knowing you can't use it until the spring? I could never do that

  16. I started last summer when I went our with my brother. I was hooked (pun intended) immediately. Something about the "fight" with those bass. I'm happy that my 2 boys (7 and 4) are also into fishing and they love watching Genes videos (the ones where he is pulling in fish) with me
