  1. I have a new Revo Stx and it has a little more back play in the handle than I would like.I was wondering is their something I can do to adjust it or make it less.It isn't horrible,I just thought it should be zero backplay.Any info on the subject would be great. Thank you.

  7. Never had a Lews, only hear good things about them. BB1,how's the casting and backlash control. The breaks look different similar to the Revo Premier(bb1 pro) The bb1 also has interesting breaking feature that is different than most others(the smart plus system).Im still kinda in favor of the dbs breaking system but like to try the infinitely variable styles of the bb1 pro and revo premier.I might be putting too much into the breaks but I like to fish the windy days and it helps to add little more break and back off it on the fly.To help handle wind gusts.
  8. The Johnny Morris BPS has a spool with japanese bearings (and side plate) does it cast a little smoother.Just curious seems like a good buy.Like to find somebody that has one and can compare to other top end reels.
  9. Yes I like Daiwa, just haven't pulled the trigger on those T-wings,The Tatula does look promising,as well as the Helios(they have the abec 5 bearings I think).Anybody sweet on BPS Johnnymorris are they going to upgrade the signature series or keep the same reel for the new year?Anyone own one and can tell me how the perform?I have a Rick Clunn ,I like,Might be a better reel made a little lighter.
  10. Thank you nice to meet members of the forum. So what lakes do you dredge Delcosol? You ever hit marsh creek lake?
  11. Yea co polymers are not too bad ya might like them I have had alot of trouble with floro breaking on me.I gave up.Wanna try again just scared.Missed a lot of good fish to floro. But I'll try again one day.I just buy a big spool of mono and change line as often as i can or flip it.P-line co polymer was once my go to line ,gets expensive though but its tough.
  12. Yes i have the dbs on my bps rcx and revo stx it is great to have the extra adjustments I like both reels and like the look of the last patriarch. They are all aluminum.Wish i had one.The new ones look good too.
  13. I had a 1999 Pfleuger president and i really enjoyed that reel.Liked the older brake style similar to the shimanos. Pfleuger seemed to have smoother bearings than the rest aside from Shimano of which I have never owned. Spinning reels I have had and still do(Shimano).Im curious why the Pfleugers bearings seemed smoother and are they still that way.
  14. ANY NEW BREAK DESIGNS OR BEARING UPGRADES THAT ANYONE KNOWS OF?
  15. tackle warehouse and TT is what sorry for my ignorance
  16. Does anyone have any info on what's coming in the new year for baitcasters. Any new technology or should I stick with the tried and true.
  17. Thanks Darren good fishing!
  18. Thank you, been hunting an eight pound bass in pa., but seven is all I have landed.Got lucky last three years with couple of 7's, 6.5's not this year though had the big one an a -rig first cast with it after I bought it.Looked like the one when he jumped and threw the lure, didn't realize I had him. After that and many trips the only thing I caught on an a-rig was another a-rig! No lie I snagged someone else's a-rig in the same spot as the one! My profile pick is a 4'11 from the spot on a homemade senko. Fish was starving, had no belly.
  19. Thanks Jeff, lotta good stuff on this forum

  22. My Pungo was 700 bucks weighed 49 pounds. They may cost more today .
  23. I have used a Wilderness Systems,Pungo and feel its a good way to go because its a touring kayak with a good pointy bottom and well developed chines. You can move quickly and still have it be stable.Mine was 12 feet but still able to turn well.It tracks straighter than many kayaks and makes rowing easier to get from spot to spot when fishing. My Dad was a larger guy and he was perfectly comfortable. It may feel a little tipsy but the chines on the undersides kick in when you lean one way or another. Its not for standing in but stable and mobile very important when fishing.Another word of advice, get inexpensive soft, folding, high back stadium seats to put on the stock seat.they are cheap (10 bucks).Saves your back if you dont buy the more expensive seats that attach to the kayak.I used to row many many miles in bad conditions with that thing and have used many other kayaks. They are a little pricey but in my opinion worth it.
