  6. Yea I know its prob a excuse(a good one lol) but I hunted all but 6 days out of 33 dawn till dusk and never saw a shooter buck. Although I only hunted 4 days total last year and bagged my pb... Hmmm that math don't add up. Luck+preparation...
  7. Ya know just because you can see at night in a full moon doesn't mean its still shooting light lol
  8. Yea wouldn't wanna end up on her bad side.... might be to late for Kurt, she is just biding her time! lol what a story!
  9. No thank you! I dealt with that for 24yrs in western PA. Nice, yea Im lucky enough to get a okuma guide select SB rod from a nice guy here (buzzed bait!! thanks again) Nice rod but Its rating is a lil low as the BBZ1 is its limit but it works great for the Hudds 68's and savage line thrus. Running the same reel you got but with big game 20#, although Im looking into other lines with a lil less stretch. Good luck to ya come thaw out.
  10. Kurt Busch, I mean who whines that their GF is a trained assassin?
  11. Ok now thats a bummer, eastern MD is completely different weather than the west. Only had a mild ice over that lasted 2 days on the ponds, the rivers are cold but still soft water
  12. What setup did you end up going with?
  13. Im surprised no one has mentioned the Trigger-x slop hopper, I really like it as a trailer on my bladed jigs. Lacks durability but makes up for it in action.
  14. 6-8 week delivery time is a bummer, wont deter me from buying one though!
  15. Nope, didnt even see one to shoot, full moon most of the seasons along with warm temps I think made for a bad year. Shot a spike on a dead run, thought he was a doe....Oh well filled the freezer a lil more. My butcher said the rifle and early muzzleloader season were the worst he has seen in 5 years
  16. Keep throwing your jigs, at the same time though you'll want a jerk tied on another setup, these are the only two baits I fish once the water dips below 50. I fish em on 8-10lb flouro and remember, some days you will have to fish painfully slow, just the nature of the bait. Brands I use are rouges, LC and the x-raps, I wont buy a megabass or other high end JB due to the fact of #1, the price and #2 I catch plenty on the other brands. Just keep an eye on ebay and amazon and those 16-18$ jerkbaits can be had for 10$ or less more often than not, Ive never paid any where close to retail on a LC.
  17. Yea they're all I use, great quality jigs and you really cant find a better price for what you get.
  18. On the subject... http://abcnews.go.com/US/miami-dolphin-player-remains-hospital-falling-boat-off/story?id=28137109

  21. Back on point though, although Ive only caught pickerel on it, a argoblast buzz plug. I picked one up out of novelty and decided to toss it around one evening, had about a dozen pickerel in an hour...
  22. This is actually my skunk repellent, I rig it weightless and toss it into the holes in lily fields... Look in the lower left in the net...Bubble gum!! Ditto...
  23. Thanks for the suggestions and opinions guy . I think I'll give the rod a go and if I don't like it I can move it along to the next perso .
