Rapala Scatter Rap Crank
One of my few confidence crank baits. I have the shallow in smash, penguin and baby bass and they work wonders, I like to crank em somewhat fast then pause around cover or once I bump something, good action along with durability.

Suffix Promix
Yea I use the tritanium for the surf and bridge fishing. Great stuff. I was more interested in a low stretch and manageable line. I'll spool the promix up and see, I still have a 1/4 spool of big game on standby if it doesn't work out. I'll report back what I think of the promix.

Suffix Promix
Well I know I dont like the big game, Ill give the cxx a shot. That was gonne be my purchase but they didnt have the size I was looking for and I saw the promix and decided to give it a shot. Like I said worst outcome Ill spool my inshore reel up with it.

Suffix Promix
I could be wrong/mis-informed, but I thought one of the selling points/advantages of co-poly was less stretch compared to nylon mono?

Suffix Promix
LIkewise Ive used their elite and its decent for the $, Oh well Ill spool the stuff up and give it a whirl. I cant stand the stretch of big game for this application.

Suffix Promix
Im pretty sure that's the regular price... For that amount I couldn't pass it up but I dunno if its any good or not. If it turns out be be cheapo line then I have some other uses for it other than my swimbait setup.

7-9 Swim Bait Rod
Easy enough, buy some entry level swimbaits, some nice ones can be had for not a whole lotta $$$, if ya dont like the swimbait world you could always sell them off and continue using it for pike/muskie or heavy jigs.... In the process ya might find the pike/muskie like the swimbaits too, win-win....

Suffix Promix
Im getting away from the big game line on my swimbait stick and was looking into copolys, I found this stuff at Gander for 5 bucks n some change for 300yds. I figured Id ask opinions on it before I spooled up. Thanks in advance. EDIT: I should add Im mostly focused on the manageability and stretch of the line.

Lake Drawdown Question
I had this same issue last year. My favorite pond went under drawdown and I never thought a fish could survive, not being deterred come last spring time I still went out. To my surprise the fishing was still great and I caught 2-5+lbs bass in one day. You can normally go all year without catching a 4-5lb fish there.... Anyways the only downside I found and Im still not sure why has been the winter fishing there has been horrible this year. Last winter (and the winter before last) before the drawdown I would go everyday (this is all from the shore) and would catch at least a few bass and even more pickerel. Now I dont know if the cover changed or what but it has really put a damper on this winter. If I make it out in my canoe conditions permitting I can get to the bass and do well but it sucks if I want to just stop by and wet a line. Anyways I wouldnt worry to much about the population and take the time to find unknown structure like Sam said.

Fishing
X2, I should probably narrow down my fishing but its all so much fun!! Plus I can fish all year long between salt and freshwater.

If I Can Take A Moment....
This is absolute truth down to the last letter, lost some friends, gained better ones who made me better and without a doubt, to succeed you must change your lifestyle, its hard at first but you find things to fill your time instead of boozing. Fishing was one of those things for me! Luckily I never drank while fishing so it was an easy transition in that area. My dad always simply put, if it causes problems then it is a problem. I didn't realize that my drinking caused and was a problem until the law got involved. Thankfully the trooper was cool as can be, no he didn't let me off, but we had a nice long talk on the way back to the barracks and I finally decided to straighten up, 3 years later still have my girl (now my wife) along with a beautiful baby girl. Who knows where I would be if I continued on the path I was on.

How Will Water Temperature Affect The Suspend-Ability Of A Jerkbait
As far as a LC pointer, or a smithwick rouge suspending I know they slowly rise as the water gets warmer. If I remember correctly a LC pointer 78sp suspends neutral at 55*

Lucky Craft Silent Pointer Color
Good color right there. Always in my rotation come jerkbait season.

How Much Soft Plastic To Carry On The Banks?
I carry a separate pack just for my soft plastics....think of a small sized duffle bag, I just clip it on with a carabiner to my back pack. Prob carrying along a extra 20lbs of weight but hey ya never know what youll need lol ( I fish saltwater too so its a mix of plastics)

Legged Frogs Vs Stringed Frogs
Your also right, although given the options that's how I would fish em. Ive had em hit the skirted legs in open water and vice versa, the spro bronzeye shad (skirted legs) is made for use in open water and it doesnt really look like much of anything, but it catches fish time after time. In all reality I don't think it matters but as a confidence thing, skirts in cover, legs in open water.

New Hudd-Gill
Mine runs light, although mine is the mh 7'6" version its limit is around 3.5 mayyyyyybe 4oz, not the rated 5oz. If they all run a lil light like that then Id opt for the 7'11" 2-10oz, I know rippin-lips has a 7'11" not sure of the model tho, maybe he can chime in on how his feels....

New Hudd-Gill
Same here although I went with the crappie versions, Im sure there are plenty of bluegill around but Ive seen and caught a ton of crappie. Now to wait and find out how the fish like it
