if i could i would live at this house in Ojai, CA . its literally less than a mile from Lake Casitas and it also happens to have its own private lake on the property . only 4 million dollars but you get a lot of acerage and some horse stables and such

im the one who has made all the stink about the ipilots and ulterras being loud. i know cause i owned an ipilot for a year and a half, sold it and bought the XI5, compared to the ipilot and the ulterra the XI5 is a ninja quiet. and it does things a lot better too, and it works great linked to my hds 7 gen 3 with 3d structuere scan

Fshing live threadfin produced the biggest donkey bass in some time at the Ventura County fishery early this past week, a 12-pound trophy for Gordan Keller of Ojai. 12 pounder caught post spawn , not bad Correct Castaic has fallen off the map cause of the stripers. I caught a 7lber in castaic lagoon and that was a big fish for there. Im talking about the other lake that starts with a C. and who only recently started stocking rainbow trout again last fall. The one to watch is San Vicente Reservoir in San Diego . It has been closed for the last 8 years , no fishing for 8 years, and 8 years worth of spawning . that place may produce buckets of bucketmouths later this summer when it reopens

If you want a loud and jerky POS then sure get a Terrova. I had one, it made more noise and racket then i cold handle. I switched to the motorguide XI5, so much quiter, better Anchor lock mode, and less of a footprint on your deck

If you have kids i would consider getting something larger than the pt175. frankly if i had my choice of aluminum boats , i would go with an Xpress . I have a 2005 PT175, they're fine , but i'd compare them to the Doge Neon's of the aluminum boat world

Okay, so You know those days when nothing goes right, and you have one disaster after another? Well i think i almost took the taco today. so here is what happened today wake up with non-charged dead batteres 1st time ever happening , but my boat came free from the dock and was floating away, luckily i was able to hop on another persons boat to retrieve my boat ; but when i hopped onto his boat i fell backwards onto my head in a kind of half backflip (feet way up in the air.) So i get on my boat , and first thing i noticed was there was still 1 old screw hole that i had not been able to plug (installed 3d structure scan transducer , and few other ). so now my boat is slowly sinking. when i turned to check the water level again i noticed that one set of acessory wires was on fire (yes i had a fused on that, but still caught on fire). great , my sinking fireboat. great. So my reaction was to just remove the wire on fire (which had not burned through 4 or 5 other sets of wires ) , well that was't smart cause i grabbed a bare wire that was on fire and sliced my index finger very deeep (one of many times i would gush blood ) . as i spend the next 2 hours trying to put it all back together so i can go fish , i end up I slcing both my legs really bad where they are gushing blood , 2 shin brusies , 1 bad lump on my writst and one more deep slice for my right index finger, so im covered in blood and sticky sticky black undewater hole plugger stuff that has found its way into all of my open wounds. I had spent 2 hours trying to rewire everything and i go to relaunch , and no, i managed to get the black goop everywhere but the leaking hole. r So I manage to get my boat back on the trailer. where i spend the next 2 more hours rewiring all my accessorries and plugging the leak in the lake parking lot of oreilly autoparts parking lot. I had to replace the majority of my boats wiring . By the end of it , its now 4pm, i had gotten to the lake at 1030am. so i get on the lake by 5pm, guess what ? trolling motor batteries got no juice, so im without a trolling motor, and there were more major malfunctions and i caught no fish.

Here is the thing, southern california has the best chance of producing DD bass hands down period. Here is why, take the lake closest to me . 1. The water temperature never gets below 54 degrees and it never ever gets above 76 degrees period . Unlike Florida and Texas where that summer humidity gets the temps up to where the bass slow down. they are in "getting bigger mode" all year long. seriously. 2. Food Food Food. They eat fatty rich ranibow trout, crawfish, redear sunfish, and some of the biggest fricking threadfin shad on the planet. good good diet. plus they are no striped bass in this lake. the average winning weight in tournaments is around 22lbs. if you get 21.8 lbs you should be good. it used to be 30-45 lb tournament sacks . besides that lake, they're are 2 or 3 in SO Cal that produce 9-10lb catches on a weekly basis. Here is the thing many DD catches in SoCal they don't report them or let the world know about them. I know of some 12 and 13lbers caught but mums the word. one more thing, i fished my entire life in Viriginia on the potomac and all the lakes and ponds,and the biggest i could ever catch was 6lbs in 15 years fishing. i catch a 6lb bass a week where i live now (when i was fishing every day in 2014).

why would you want to fish bass in Gulf shores, such good oil rig fishing off there . make sure ya go to the florabama , and the pink pony pub and order a few baskets of their Deep fried blue crab claws. omg best thing ever made on this planet earth

actually yes, garmin has this new thing called panoptix which will show you a 2d sonar view of whats 40 to 50 feet in front of you. I don't have that , but I am running the HDS 7 Gen 3 with 3d structure scan and i have it linked to my motorguide XI5 which i can program a course on my chart and it will follow it. (the 3d structure scan is amazing , wow ) it sounds like you are fishing some shallow flat lakes with lots of trees floating in the water. you shouldn't be running your motor too fast if that is the case

In terms of what bait has caught the most trophy bass? so trophy bass is any bass over 10lbs? no comparison, Huddleston , period (with a close 2nd to jig with pork and a Lunker Punker -- which produced a 39 lb striper a week ago). \\\. \ BUTCH brown has the youtube videos to prove it. where he is fishing in all of these videos is Lower Castaic Lake or Castaic lagoon. here is his 65lb sack of 5 fish (wht the 18.5 kicker). HE HAS many of these videos , and ill tell you the guy also pretty much invented the split shot (or w its 45 minutes from my house) but castaic at one time produced 4 of the largest bass ever caught, but now you;re lucky to get 12lbs in a tournament. they used to have tournaments at upper castaic but would hold the weigh in at lower castaic and then release all of the tournament fish into lower castaic, so that little lake b ecamse a dumping ground for tournament fish. I fished uppwer castaic 2 days ago and i hate that place it sucks.

I just picked up a HDS 7 Gen 3 with the structure scan 3d, and i picked up the $200 cable to link my Motorguide XI5 to my unit, only to find out out I gotta spend another $70 on NEMA stuff, not happy
