Slade's Secret Northern Virginia Pond
i never had a problem with any of the neighbors down at this spot cause i always kept a low profile and i fished with no more than 1 other person at a time. Most of these people work all day long. As for the guy who said that "you can say the same about all the ponds in the area" well i fished every single pond in great falls and i will tell you, not even close. the only time i ever really had issues was when i took like 4 people on a saturday and the guy who lives in the house above the dock came down and gave us **** cause we were fishing near his property. If this was or is your spot, can't be , i never saw anyone else fishing there for 8 years. the attached photo shows where you should park. i would park right next to the guard rail and walk down to the left, check your map. The people's house you see in the photo were mad cool and i would always fish behind their house. now the 2 spots that are the best are circled in blue , these spots are also the best in terms of being stealth. the blue circle spot you see closest to where you would park is my choice, you can go undetected fishing there pretty much. betweeen the Cat Tails on your left and the big tree on your right. as for spot 2 if you look across the lake you will see some rocks right near the rocks is a big giant tree, fish underneath that tree straight out. also good for stealth.

Slade's Secret Northern Virginia Pond
ok since i live in California and don't ever plan on moving back to VA (catching 7lb bass is a weekly occurence now, ) im gonna drop a secret spots i have from the DC Area. If there is more interest in things like this then i will make more maps. Lagovista.tiff 1. Super Pond- Great Falls, VA--- 71 bass in 90 minutes was record between 2 people, Best bait: 1/4oz charetrues and yellow rooster tail. Take Georgetown pike from 495, after you pass great falls park , go right on riverbend road, then take a left onto lagovista ct. park in the cul de sac and follow map on how to walk down to spots. only fish from spots circled in blue, avoid fishing from spots squigled in red. map should explain it. only guy who really cared is marked on the map. try and avoid weekends if possible. if people respond to this i will make maps of other super secret ponds and my best potomac river spots.

Depth Finders.
Im selling my humminbird 998SI and going with the new Lowrance HDS 9 Gen 3. Side scan sonar is awesome, period, changes everything. that being said. i caught my PB when my sonar was off, and i have been fishing a lake for the past 3 weeks without any sonar at all or depth finder. If you don't have a depth finder or sonar you still have sonar (Carolina Rig with 1/2 oz tungsten weight) and depth finder (stick your pole in the water , if it touches the bottom your shallow).

Minnkota Terova Or Motor Guide Xi5
I had a terrova Ipilot 80lbs thrust for one year. in that year i ran it about 289 days . I sold that thing , and my humminbird 998 SI a few months ago and i bought a Motorguide XI5 and just order a HDS 7 GEN 3 , and here is why. THE TERROVA AND THE NEW ULTERRA MAKE THE LOUDEST NOISE EVER WHEN TURNING, period, don't kid yourself that it doesn't affect your fishing. its seriously loud, and its because of the servos in the turning mecahnism. the XI5 is silent , period, its so quiet its crazy. The spot lock feature on the XI5 is a million times better than the MK, period. its calm , cool , and keeps you in the same spot with tiny small adjustments here and there. the MK likes to wait till youve drifted far enough and then it violently with lots of noise motors you in the other direction. THE mk will constantly overcorrect itslef and everytime it does it scares fish away period. don't lie to yourself about it. oh and on the XI5 you can adjust the anchor lock position 5 feet in any direction with a push of a button. The pedal on the XI5 has so much better control and feedback from a spring and actually has a speed knob on it that is controllable with your foot. try adjusting the speed on the MK foot control. Follow the contour? sorry but id rather have the ability to plot a course on my HDS 7 map and then hit enter and let the XI5 take me on its way. yes the lack of a digital display on the XI5 remote can be annoying, but i forget about all that with how much smaller it is than the MK. also the ipilot remote i had would constantly lose power because of badd battery connections and i would have to bang it for it to work about 200 of the 298 days i used it. The XI5 takes up less deck space than the MK and the storing mechanism is much better. with the MK it relies on 2 magnets being aligned to power off, well that only last so long. YOu think they fixed the noise issue with the Ulterra? Nope, even at icast the minn kota guys acknolwdged it.

Video Editing
First , what are OSX version are you running? how much RAM do you have ? and what kind of camera are you using ? BUt to answer your question . free editors- Lightworks and Blender. Blender is great program not just for video, but for 3d design. Also if you have a MAC i highly recommend downloading Rhino 3D (free for mac only) its a great autocad program i design baits on.

Ethanol Any Worry?
Yes , any boat made before 2006 needs to have fuel lines replaced . I have a 2005 Btracker 175 with a 5ohp 2 stroke. I had this happen first hand. the inner lining of the main fuel line turns into a hard orange plastic and it clogged up my fuel filter to where my boat came to a dead stop. and wouldn't run. well i cleaned out all the gunk with the air compressor in the fuel filter and put it back on. ONLY I PUT IT BACK ON BACKWARDS And then some of the gunk now went straight through and clogged up the jets on my carbs and fuel diaphragm. Well i took apart the carbs cleaned them , jets, and the diagphragm with air compressor. engine was fine, didn't destory it ,

Mk Terrova Question
You will end up slicing the cable, and you can't really splice a transducer cable and have it work right. I sold my terrova and bought an XI5 , so much happier. XI5 is a million times quiter, the pedal is actually good, and when i get my new hds 7 gen 3 i can't wait for that functionality. My terrova was a POS.

Help With Diy Bite Alarm
if you had a bettter diagram i could help you . if you want to be really techincal you could build one using an arduino and a motion sensor like this http://www.adafruit.com/products/189?gclid=CJ6ksN_2n8UCFRNafgodLgMAvw but that requires too much electronics for the outdoors. teh best thing is just get some fishing rod bells. http://www.psfishing.com/double-rod-bells.html you are overthinking it.

Las Virgenes Reservoir And Westalke Lake Area
Im allowed back in on may 20th, but i haven't gotten the boat passed inspection yet. take a look at the following picture that says exactly why i was banned. I would never fish by the dam, ever. I have been fishing the ocean, gotten pretty good at jerkbait fishing for halibut. I have a pass to fish westlake already (resident pass from my friend) and i fished westlake a bunch , but from shore that place isn't that great and the 6lber i did catch had no fight in him. casitas reasons .tiff
