  1. This was nutting last summer
  2. I like Nutting ...I have an Inflatable pontoon with a 40lb T/M so I tend to stay on mostly small lakes and ponds .....
  3. I just got rid of all my reels and changed everything over to Lews , I think they are a great mid priced reel , I have a TP. the LFS TLL1H, the LFS LG1H and just ordered a BB1 pro ...To each his own but I can say from my experience that they are well built and smooth casting ....
  4. The GL3's don't have that either ?
  5. That's not entirely true , You can still find the GL3's on the site and they are still demanding a couple of hundred dollars .. With that said I don't know who's buying them , I would love to see the GL2's end up like that . I'd buy a few more and be allset LOL
  6. Nice let us know what you think of it ....
  7. Sounds great , At least the price range is going to be competitive ......
  8. Really ? they have them on their site no prices yet .. I'm not sure they'll replace the GL2's just like the 2's never replaced the 3's I think it would just be another option... We'll see I guess LOL
  9. my gl2's and 3's have the same size inserts the glx are clearly better and smaller ...
  10. I have a glx 805c that I use for small swimbaits and I use the GL2 804 for top water I feel very little difference in weight between them . I do like the gl3's but enjoy the split handles on the 2's and and the glx better.. As for weight ?? I have them paired with Lews reels nothing weighing over 6,5 oz several are the LFS series and weight about 5.4oz ...... I guess it just comes down to what you like,, I did get some deals on them but nothing insane as they were all new. I am sure there are better and lighter rods out there . But will stick with these ....
  11. I own 3 Gl2's and a couple of Gl3'2 and a Glx and like the 2's the best , I don't know why people keep giving them a bad rap , I think they're great sticks
  12. Does anyone have an opinion on the Lews BB1 Pro for swimbaits ?
  13. Thanks guys , I have a *** I'll probably use ,it should be fine for small swim baits and it has a 21lb drag
  14. I have a seaeagle 285 pro , It's an inflatable , I love it it's lightweight has a swivel seat and a floor and can be rigged with some nice options ,I just added a Hummingbird Helix 5 SI/GPS Combo.. All done with scotty mounts and a 40# TM... Good luck with whatever you choose...
  15. Hi guys looking for opinions on what you would use for small swimbaits ? or what qualities you'd look for ? And remember for small swimbaits .... Thanks
  16. I have 3 GL2's a GLX and 2 GL3's and like them all . I guess it's all personal preference ? I did get some good deals on them but still think very good rods .....
  17. What are some of the better ponds/small lakes in my area ? Thanks
  18. Thanks, I fish mostly smaller lakes and ponds I use a seaeagle inflatable pontoon boat so launching isn't really a problem, But am always interested in different places around Billerica ....
  19. I have 6 G.Loomis rods several gl2's a glx and a couple of gl3's and like all of them . Everything is becoming so specialized that it gets tough and expensive to figure out what to buy ??
