  1. I agree it works great on my little inflatable it still walks a little but not nearly as much as it did... no skegs
  2. I agree most places that I had good luck on last year have been a bust .. Spent 5hrs out on nutting in billerica yesterday got 1 small LM and 3 bites all day .....
  3. I know, I was hoping to just swap out the mount and unit and not have to touch the power or transducer ....

  9. I own several Lews including the tournament pro,, BB1 , and 2 of the Lite series ,they are all very good reels in my opinion, I've never had any issues with them ...

  11. They have one that's more money (399) that shoots in 1080 60fps as well as a slew of other settings including image stabilization ,but again you get what you pay for .. I am currently using the Sony as100vr a great camera and I have the live view remote ,
  12. I was just looking at the stats on the virb x it says it shoots at 1080 30 fps not 60 ? is this correct

  14. Like most of you ,I'm just getting use to it too, I'll say I think the Helix is one of the best bang for the buck in compact electronics , As with all of them ,it's a learning curve .. We're lucky to have Wayne P he's a wealth of knowledge on these ...

  17. I will say I did look into the clubs I have a new 16ft Lowe skorpion w/a 20 hp mercury and was basically told by several clubs that my boat was too small
  18. I'm in the same boat. I end up fishing mostly by myself, There's a few clubs around ,best place to start looking is right here , check out the bass club forums and it'll direct you to new england clubs then see if there's one close to you .. Good Luck.......

  20. I have the Helix 5 and it's a nice little unit I originally bought it for my seaeagle inflatable pontoon ,but then mounted it on my aluminum boat, heres a couple of pics
  21. If you can afford it ,pick up the Helix 5 SI/GPS While it's not the biggest screen available it has everything you'll need to get started and learn to how to use SI It also has has D/I and much more . I have one on my boat and love it ...Good Luck

  23. I use both a 6" gl2 and gl3 hvy works great when I'm fishing out of my seaeagle for getting under limbs.. For my bigger boat I use a glx 6"8'
