I live in MA and have never seen one either ,but according to fish & game there all over the place up here ,so I guess I'll take their word for it ..

I bought this specifically to use with my Mattlures and MS slammers, all 2oz or under ,so hopefully it'll work ..

I just traded in a 2014 lowe skorpion bass boat for a lund rebel 1600 ss for exactly this reason only difference is I wanted the recessed casting deck ,I didn't feel comfortable having a deck that was almost level with the sides I find the lower casting deck to be safer at least for me..and a vee hull better than a mod v ....

I had a 2015 Lowe Skorpion w /a 20 hp merc elpt and had no problems what so ever getting up on plane and hitting 22mph with just me in the boat ,Depending on were you fish and what restrictions you have a small motor isn't bad . The tracker does weigh more than the skorpion .. Just look at weights .....

I have 6 Lews and can tell you that the new pro G is a great little reel and can be had for 160.00 incl free shipping, just picked up a couple .....

Check out the MS mini slammers they are jointed have about a 3-4" body and a 5" tail they're lightweight and do very well , down side a little pricey at 30.00 ea

I have several gl2's along with gl3's IMX and GLX and like the 2's just as much as the others , don't believe all the crap about how their not good rods ....

Doesn't matter how fast you go , At the end of the day it's how many fish are in the boat ,and how happy you are with your boat .........

Neil I have that unit on my inflatable pontoon , Before that I had a helix 5 here's how I had it set up to be completely detachable

This was my set up for my seaeagle inflatable pontoon it worked excellent ...
