  3. If your going to get the Helix 5 , save up and get the SI/GPS unit you have everything you'll need Sonar/Di /SI/and GPS ,It's lightweight and can be set up portable ....here's a pic of how I use it ..
  4. Used sealant on all of my rods ( Loomis) and will keep on using it ....
  5. I had both the Helix 5 and 7 I think for a kayak the 5 is perfect ... the 7 is great too just a little big imo... I run a Helix 10 on my new boat and love it ...
  6. Most use the BB1 pro for bigger baits , I use mine on a swimbait set up ... Works great Did the same thing with the handle minus the grips great set up
  7. You might be better off looking at a new boat altogether , I Just traded in a 2014 Skorpion w/ a merc 20hp elpt that did about 22mph and the boat was light so you need at least a 50 or 60 to be satisfied and they're not cheap...good luck
  8. My new lund has both carpet and vinyl ,,,,,
  9. I had the Helix 5 Si/Gps and it was a great little unit ,It will serve you well on a kayak, I used it on an inflatable , All portable too....
  10. Anyone using this or know of someone who is ?
  11. Yes they're worth it ,, If your worried about money pick up an IMX there good rods too.... Good Luck
  12. LOL, I have 4 of them ,,, but have GLX , IMX and Gl3s as well....
  13. MDbassin, If your looking for an inexpensive SI/GPS unit check out the Helix 5 you'll be able to see structure and it also has DI and Sonar ,so your pretty well set for anything ...And just so you know there are other units out there that do the same thing ,I've always used hummingbird ....good luck
  14. Hi, Just went on to the Loomis site looking at rods and noticed the the GL2 line is gone , I haven't been on there for awhile ,anyone know how long they've been gone ?
  15. I agree BrianinMD, I just recently traded in a one year old bass boat for a new Lund , It cost a pretty penny as do all new good quality boats , I financed it out to keep the payments where I wanted them and decided that this was the boat I would be keeping until I go to that big lake in the sky , If I have extra to pay on it I will, but if not , It's not breaking my back .. For me sometimes it more than just a payment , It's enjoying one's life .....IMO In any case good luck......
  16. Lund has some of the best multi species boats on the market Depending on where and what you fish, If your not tournament fishing you mght want to look at them , Although not as big I just traded in a 2014 skorpion bass boat for a lund rebel and am happy about the choice .....Good luck
  17. New boats in at the dealer
  18. Worm Man your absolutely correct as a new boat owner (any brand/make ) you shouldn't have all the problems you've had , No new boat is cheap whether it's 70,000 or 7,000 you deserve a boat that works right from the start .. It sounds like crappy quality control.. I owned a little Lowe Skorpion that was a nice little boat ,I traded it in and purchased a Lund waiting to take ownership and can tell you one thing I've learned with buying new , If it's not right it gets parked at the dealership until it's right or they can have it back ,period........
  19. Live Target frog
  20. Before looking at the talon or another electronic anchor system I'd look at the remote controlled trolling motors I know that both Minn Kota amd Motor Giude units can hold a boat in place with the remote and if your going to upgrade then why not go with that ? Just my 2 cents worth LOL Good luck
  21. I own several gl2 s and the 804c It's a great rod and at that price is a steal ....Don't know why people give them a bad rap..
