  1. Bass Pro magnum flippin' tubes for me. I texas rig them too.
  2. They should be on clearance at Wally World. I picked up a 3700 series for $5 last year around this time. Saw a few more along with the elite cranks and hydroflow boxes.
  3. I had a family of beavers surround the boat. It was scary when they start growling and smacking the water. It was a very shallow cove and I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
  4. I put a deck on my 12' and I have not had stability problems. Although, I haven't pushed the envelope either with staying on small lakes. BTW...I am 6'2 and 255lbs of "muscle".
  5. I like to throws the scatter raps when walleye fishing. For some reason, those eyes hammer 'em. I only use them on spinning gear though.
  6. I upload to photo-bucket and then link to here.
  7. Tubes, tubes and more tubes. The heads tear easily but they seem to work more than any other tube that I have tried.
  8. Different equipment...no. Strategy, structure and cover...yes!
  9. My drag star doesn't click either. It is a cheapo reel that I was impressed with, for the price point that I paid. I don't use it all that much anymore. I spoiled myself with Lew's BB1s and Pro Qualifiers.
  10. Take the handle off, keep the bent washers/spacers in correct order, and then screw the drag star off. That is how my Black Max is done.
  11. I can rock a tube but it is also my confidence plastic. Never really liked throwing other stuff because I keep going back to the tube with success. I am planning on making the drop shot a priority to fish this year. Hopefully, but not confidently, it will produce like my tubes do. If I had to make a wager, I would be like your club partner and say I will slay 'em on a tube.
  12. The cheap KVD split ring and braid cutter from walmart works well.
  13. You know it is bad when you clear out Dick's clearance rack of Havoc baits only to find you pick up 5 of one color instead of 5 separate colors.

They will sometimes have amazing prices on Gary Yamamoto plastics. I bought dozens of double tail grubs for close to $1/pack.
  15. ...or how about an option for those trucks with a tool box?
  16. The pin on my hitch fits loosely and I get a clunk.
  17. I did them with a pair of vise grips or locking pliers, $1 spool of thread and nail polish.
  18. I am not too impressed. Where are the Bomber squarebills?
  19. For $15 more, you can grab a Veritas or an *** Black from Gander Mountain. They have a sale going on right now.
  20. They also have Veritas and *** Black rods for $80.
  21. I am more curious about their new spinning reels. I have a Cabelas reel that has been the best spinning reel I have ever owned. I am in the market for a new reel but want to try the new Lew's. I am just not convinced that it will be better than what I have. They sure do look good!
  22. Straight braid and don't bother over thinking it.
  23. When I fish with my uncle, I sit in the back and face away from him. When he lands one, he takes it off, gives the usual smirk and casts again. The problem, he keeps his fish in the other hand and then lobs it toward my end of the boat. EVERY TIME!!!!!
  24. Mr. Whiffle?
