Vbs ? Noisy? Maybe, I never had one in scream at me in 15 years... The new SVS is noted for noise, on ceramics, they are always noisy, stainless balls are quiet unless rusted or bad, I can't believe you have ceramics that are so quite you can't hear them!

Get a new partner, buy a boat , or sit down in protest while having a ice cold Sam Adams! Yea, you can flip with that rod, or use it in open water throwing 3/4 to 1 oz. jigs or Trigged worms in deeper water in summer, I use heavys a lot for that work, even if you don't do it a lot, you haven't invested a lot either.

Yea, but dropshot is a straight down presentation, whereby shouldn't be a problem with excessive slack as far as braid is concerned as far as line diameter from 10 to 20 pd. braid, the diffrence in the water won't matter, the deal is it will matter on the reel and possibly at the knot, I have better control with 20.

When I lived in Florida, there were multiple spawns for a few months, we could find fish on beds in July , as far as indiana, I honestly am not sure, I believe there is a pecking order though, biggest fish bed first, followed by a additional spawn. I usually catch the females in March and April typically

Well I don't blame you on the rod issue, but lots of guys are using 20 on braid, some use 10, I was spooled with 10, but back to 20, now.... I have been looking at the stradic micro braid reel you can go down to 2 pound braid on it? But changed my mind, I like the standard 1000 too... So much cool stuff to buy!

Yea, those stripers friggin own those bait balls in the upper 1/3 of that lake, when shad was first put in... After a couple years really.. I was catching stripers on top when they would bust the bait schools, serious fun! It always is a nice site on electronics seeing them, that's a fact... One of my biggest patoka fish was at walls lake... Deep thumping a spinnerbait, after loosing 2 Roland Martin Big Bass spinnerbaits, the 3 was a charm!
