So Gambler doesn't make this 7" solid head tube worm anymore... I got 3 in ghost shad left... Any of you guys sitting on packs of these? If so let me know maybe I can work a deal on them. Or... Anybody know of a similar bait?

On really small waters you should just dissect it with a 6" to 8" straight tail... You're hunting a bigger fish... You must have quite entry's ... Then, later when about to leave.. Run a jitterbug, buzz bait thru and see what happens.. Even a Rapala j12 will work

Tatula is a much better rod.... Iam not a fan of the white carrot stix

Casting all the way around is much more refined, and controlled ( curado I ) but the E is a very good caster too... If you need a reel now... You can find the I online... But if the E is on discount / slashed... Pick one up... Then grab a curado I later.... The 50/51E's are slick little reels too... So many choices, so little money!!! I have a few greenies, white, silver, they are all great reels!

Just recently I cleaned a set outta a 51e curado After reinstalling... I knew something was off, removed cast control cap and looking very closely the spring was not seated on the bearing properly.. So once I reseated the spring it was fine, it's the one thing I hate about these reels is that spring... It's fine now though

Senkos will tear easier in hydrilla ... Give a Zoom magnum finesse worm a try... Color= green pumpkin, blue flash....

Upsize you're hooks, the old triple grips were real good but the new ones are junk.... Use owner needle points, my fave or Gammys.. You can upsize you're split rings a bit... Allows the hook to swing more.. If you do you need to tune them.. Making sure that crank doesn't hook tangle etc... Bass slash at cranks and rattle baits a lot .. You can catch them with good hooks!

I believe they were created as Visual aids for fisherman. Eg. Bed fishing, top water floating worm...

Maybe you should try Yozuri hybrid? It's crazy strong... But trilene big game is too... Or Pline CXX... Of course it won't have the feel of Tatsu or invisx... But way strong, and good enough on feel, at least for me.. Palomar spit soaked knot.. No troubles...

Junebug colors.. Straight tail worms... Small cranks... Outside edges of lilypads... Shallow running rattle baits/ crankbaits in boat trails... Flip & pitch... Hydrilla... Or throw Spinnerbaits instead of rattle baits ... Those tactics WILL work on most all Florida waters. Buckle down, pick it apart... Good luck ! I think the flip pitch bite will be key though...

You are right! I have been seeing more and more normal size inserts either loose or popping out as well... Seems guides are not what they used to be! Still I see way more micro failures. And that's a ideal for checking Y tube out.. That could help.. We had good tackle shops around here forever.. Great rod builders.... When BPS Opened in 2003, By 2005 they were shut down.. Simply could not compete... Sad...oh well... Good ideal on YouTube !

You can't beat a pflueger president spinning reel at 60$ I use a 6935 on my kistler helium lta.... Great reels for the money

That's fine if you have rod builders in you're area.. But if not? I won't own a rod with micros.. Unless they are pacbays... Good luck.. It sucks for sure!

Yes.. Sorta.... When I was much younger I would make those errors to.... If you have cut the line just tye on a1 oz sinker and go throw it a few times... It will wind it's way back on evenly. I am assuming you have respooled and that is the problem.... If you have just started the respooling process.... Then just rewind back to original line holder( spool) .... But just cast with heavy weight long distance will correct the problem.... But you may still be short on a proper spool fill...

In the mid 90's I used pinnacle spinners and they were great for the money... In fact they (pinnacle) took off in Kentucky and were used by a lot of folks... I used a few spinning rods for Gills and crappie.... Never a baitcaster though. It just became a availability issue... They just sorta dissappeared ....
