Curado I uses a different braking system from all other curado series reels.. It's called SVS infinity...very similar to the new chronarch Ci4+ also the Mentanium... Escape hatch releases side plate ( hinged) where 4 brake tabs are located.. You may select 1 to 4 on I use 2 on... Also there is a small dial under towards front of reel that allows the user to dial more braking or less braking as has been determined by the number of brake tabs you have pre-determined . I suppose the engineering could write pages on its exact function... I have found its a real improvement over VBS... I like them both! I am really liking the SVS Infinity real well!

I simply believe there is nothing wrong with using live/ cut bait... For fishing.... Following all state and or Federal laws .. Also insuring one is also following all laws that pertain to the exact body of water you are on.... Also there are boundary laws.. Ohio river.... Kentucky and Indiana share boundary s in the river... Better understand them too... Otherwise there will be conflict. Won't matter if you're throwing artificial or bait...

The curado I palms easier and mine will throw easily 205-218 ft... That's as far as my CTE200GT... however many are happy with the tatula type R .... Mag force Z isn't bad at all it's a very good braking system... Just a little bulky.. Curado drag star is also compact and outta the way.... I like mine.. Either will throw far .

What's you're hook up rate and opinion on the owner 2/0 camo green wacky hook and the 3/0 owner mosquito hooks for wacky rigging... I noticed the mosquito has a offset hook-point and the line tie looks optimized for Snelling. Appreciate the feedback.

Yea... Never... I have sometimes had them bit off by fish. No worries I have seen lots of craws with one missing ! 8$ is way high.. I have trouble getting my fave color.... Never tore them on cast/ flip/ pitch.. Typical wear & tear issues only.

I had that rod it was a great little rod... Great for pop r's and Dt 4 my son thinks he needs it worse! I paid over a 100$ for mine.. So at 20$ man I wish I ran into that!!

I don't think the fish.. In the articles photo was a record.. @16 pds. Just appears to be a smaller fish..(different ) fish from the one he says he caught... The 18 plus fish...his camera failed to capture the image. I believe I read this correctly? Someone please correct me if I am in error....

Very nice reels, I use a 6935 it's a little much.. (line capacity) very nice for not to much money. I prefer shimano.. Shimano just cast so much better, and line management like Snook said is outstanding ! Get one before they change a bunch and start breaking all the time.

Quit whining... That's just the way you have to do it now.... It's already cut.. Just continue to pull out the line and get it off... Respool... Study more how to set up a baitcaster... If you do you're homework it will come so much easier... Study how to use the Tool and spend less time cutting out birds nest

How did 2 break? Same exact model? That's very unusual ... Have you checked shimano on line? Lots of parts on back order right now... How old are they? I wish you luck...
