Order a Tatula rod from Japan, they have 2 piece rods that are center cut and made with alconite guides.. prices run from like 118 to 129 depending.. I have an older 7’3” Zillion and it’s a very good rod. The Tatulas are a much better improvement over my Zillion. A two piece Tatula will soon be in my possession. Nevermind, I see you have gift cards for BPS. Anyway, good luck on finding what you want.

I fished a tournament out of Jeffersonville off Duffy landing once in I think like 99.. He didn’t win but finished high. Very personable I never suspected he’d fish the BASS tournament trail or FLW for that matter. But river fishing is his thing and fishing the tributary’s is where it’s at mostly. With a few exceptions, like when George Cochran won from Cox’s park which looking across from duffys landing you can see very easily. He won the Classic by running up river then after some time coming back to a weed bed and caught his limit.. George was a helluva fisherman.. I was in the military at the time but followed it because well it was home lol I think that tournament was like 86? Anyway, a little sideways on my post I guess..

I’m thinking Garret or Johnston to win and Bill fishes 4th..I’d love it if Dollar Bill can win.. Johnston has been creeping up every day. Ugh 😩

Yea I asked about my 895 F&P GLX and they wouldn’t tell me either, that was after I had asked on here first. The rod is actually an extra heavy even though the #5 indicates the power as Heavy. The F&P bumps that power up according to Shimano/Loomis. It’s a brute of a rod, has amazing feel and can cast very good. It could double as a Carolina rig, heavy jig, heavy worm. It will be used on Kentucky lake ledges with Jigs and 12” worms in the summer. As well as Florida and the Hydrilla if you can find any 😂 249$ on close out at ALFC. Loomis is weird.

Have you tried any of the 2 piece Tatula rods? I’ve had my eye on one the last couple weeks.

A lot of JDM rods are two piece, either centercut or at the handle. But I don’t believe they all are. As far as materials I cannot say.

Wow, that’s awful. I’m not sure what’s going on either.. I haven’t been a member in years and I just bought this acreage a year or so. It just makes no sense. Hope you get it straightened out..

Yup. They were crushing them on Guntersville a couple weeks ago and I’m certain that isn’t the case at this moment.. but hang on, just a few days of warmer weather and sunshine and it’s back on. Every year over and over. With FFS, guys could find those fish and probably catch. But it’s gonna be tougher, way tougher. I know you know this and more, this is directed at the younger generation of fisherman as well as the OP. 😁✝️

I started to mention this yesterday, I’ve been receiving Bassmaster magazine for about 6 months. I have no ideal why. I mean last year I watched every tournament and commented on X, YouTube etc.. I have no clue how they got my address or the why of it. However I do appreciate it.. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been harassed by a monkey all month.. he’s not my friend. I’ve bought two Daiwa HD 1000 reels this month. But now I feel like I need a NRX+ rod. I don’t even know why. The bait monkey is evil that’s what I know. I love both those guys, Seth fishes my way.. Hackney does the big fish thing pretty good in Florida. According to ROKU coverage.

Ugh, so Daiwa has become difficult to work on? I hate to hear that, I haven’t used Daiwa since the OG Zillion and TDZ hit the market.. guess I’ll keep my Shimano’s close. 🤣

I’ve thought about trying them again, I’ve just purchased 2 Daiwa HD 1000 reels in the past couple weeks. What did you use in your Daiwa? Also I guess you need a tool to replace the spool bearings? But tbh, the first one is an amazing pitching reel and casts as far as my Bantams and Mets. I just got the second one yesterday and have not tried to throw it yet. The weather is garbage as you know in Indiana 😂

I don’t even know how long I’ve had this thing but I’d imagine it’s removed a mile or two of line. 😉
