  1. Hard to argue against success 💯
  2. Yea, it’s been well covered..
  3. Well I finally received my 7’ Helium ML spinning rod, I ordered on the 4th of July and Trey was hit by the hurricane but still got my rod out very quickly. The man is unbelievable.💯The rod is exceptional in build quality I have other Kistler spinning rods made on NFC blanks and the guides on the new blank series are Fuji Fazlite’s. I have these guides on a couple Loomis IMX rods and 1 Shimano rod. I like them quite well. The action is spot on imo, ML/fast. Light, very light. I’ve ordered a Shimano Vanguard 2500 S to put on her. I’m very happy with this choice, sensitivity is quite good, not GLX good but close, again, imo. It’s a great value on what’s sure to be a fun rod to fish. As soon as I write Trey and get a answer on his American rod blank custom builds I’ll post my findings.. I’m curious as to where he’s sourcing these blanks from, I need another 7’ MH Texas rig workhorse 😂😂😂 (Baitmonkey ya know) Oh btw, UPS got my rod to Lexington, Ky then it obviously went on a long ride to Colorado then back thru Kansas, Tenn back to Kentucky.. nonetheless the rod and tube were not damaged , how about that!
  4. Did they analyze the fish, I mean via a scale? (Fish scale) not a weight scale. What are the differences between the strains? I’m familiar with the southern species it’s the northern ones I’m not sure of.
  5. Exactly right, that’s what I used almost exclusively. Worms, traps and golden shiners.. Loch just has a vibe about it. My favorite Florida fishery with the St.Johns a very close second.
  6. This was posted on X today.. Orange Lake, 13.5 pounds
  7. Yea I grabbed two in late February from ALFC, but I’ll tell you that even used the GLX is getting 300$ or so.. But good luck, they are great rods imo.
  8. Trey sent me this email this morning..
  9. Anybody have any experience with Trey’s new blank material, KC9. I’ve ordered a 7 foot medium light spinning rod (helium) opinions please… I’ve owned or own NFC blanks Trey has used before.
  10. Taku catches a nice one, culling with scales, fizzing the catch, icing down the live well and talking the whole time, I wanted to hear him but those guys couldn’t shut up, the co host dude shoulda told them to shush 🤫
  11. Nothing like Chick-fil-A delivery on the water. As for Trey, I don’t know what to say. Hats off to him for self reporting though.
  12. Man you ain’t kidding, that trait be a bad trait 🤣
  13. I snagged it from X, I thought it hilarious 😂
  14. Wait.. you talking about Randy right? 🤣🤣🤣 I know it ain’t me because I’m out of consideration now. Besides that I think it’s cool tech, if it survives which I suspect it does, the fish will eventually catch on and it will be on to the next cool thing🤣🤣
  15. Since I’ve been alive for awhile now, began this sport/hobby at 3, joined B.A.S.S at 13, I’ve seen a lot of change. I remember when I was approved to buy a Ranger in 1989.. In fact, fishing was way more accessible in those days in my opinion. It’s totally an Elite sport now, out of reach of most folks.. at some point the bubble will burst, we’re not quite there yet..
  16. Rules rules rules , it’s a hell of a thing.
  17. Probably because I made an error. Mine is a 892c JWR so my mistake.
  18. Couldn’t say for sure, but I bought it in February this past. When they were closing out the previous model, but who can say 🤣
  19. Sweet, I have the 902c split grip. It’s combined w a 22 Shimano Metanium shallow spool edition. It’s a very light combo. I’ve loaded my rod up several times now and it’s definitely extra fast but gets into the middle very nicely.. you can easily see the power transition. (So far so good) I’m not a fan of split grips other than Kistlers, something about Trey’s I love on either casting or spinning. I don’t love his new blank choice. Anyway, appreciate the follow up and glad you got a replacement relatively quick. Btw, what does that conquest weigh? My metanium sse weights like 5.7 I believe..
  20. Most of the time on Lochloosa anyway, my bites ALWAYS happened an hour after sunrise then typically, completely died. (This time of the year) I won a jackpot tournament on that lake in 87 and weighed in 13 pound w 3 fish. All caught within a hour of launch. That was in early July and the sun is brutal! Good luck and hope you find the big girls.
  21. Any ideal on what plastic they were using? I fished Orange and Loch but mostly loch. That’s about the only thing you could do in the 80’s was punch, we just called it flipping. Plastic worms between 7 and 10”. I used a black color but blue was popular. Rarely were the conditions adequate to fish a rattletrap but depending on boat traffic and lanes you could definitely catch some good fish on a trap. A lot of guides with clients using golden shiners also. Guys tossing chicken feed and throwing nets to catch the shiners.. plenty of good fishing. Punching is a grind, but the payoff is big. I haven’t been there in a while, time to revisit an old friend. Hope you stick a hog and do report back on your day please..🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Wait.. what? You never fished it? 🤣it’s like there is soo much water to fish in Florida that it’s easy to pick out a handful of lakes, ponds, rivers and stick with it for the sake of sanity 🤣 Gotta love the fishing in Florida, there’s always a place on fire.
  22. She’s a classic to be sure..
  23. How did it break? I have the 892c JWR,
  24. That guy really wanted to win didn’t he? 😂🤣😂
