  1. BPS Pro Qualifier. Won't break the bank and is an awesome reel.
  2. Bps cranking stick - 7'11 MH for the big plugs. Bps pro qualifier in a 5.4 ratio. This is my deep plug set up and it handles like a dream.
  3. Soon as A fish strikes I reel down until I feel fish( usually about a 1 sec time lapse) and set the steel to it. I hold my rod around the 2 o'clock position when I'm reeling the bait. This allows it to skim over grass with ease and allows just the right amount of time to reel down.
  4. I have it on I believe all my reels now. I use it as main line and haven't had any problems. I've been using it for a while without conditioner and really liked it. I do now use kvd L&L an like it even more now.
  5. I'm not a big fan. Never had a probl with paint but just can't seem to make it do what I want. Spro's are made with writer quality and do what I tell them.
  6. Bill Lewis rat l trap.
  7. I have one and like it. No more digging into a bag or box just open the case and I know exactly where what hook I'm looking for is.
  8. Warlock by missile baits is my go to. Has a short spring lock instead of the long ones most come with. Head doesn't hang and is made with a gamakatsu 3/0 hook. Hard to beat.
  9. Elite series only go back to 2012. I was hoping they would have the Kentucky Lake tournament on there.
  10. Definitely worth getting both IMO. The MD does seem to run a little shallower than advertised, but is still a must in 5-8 foot of water. I still like the regular LJ in 5 or less for the reason I can burn it and it not be digging a new channel. In 3 foot of water the MD would not be as easy to work very fast once it hit the bottom do to this reason.
  11. I'm a big seaguar fan. I normally fish the re label for the price point. But will buy some invisix and other better lines for tournaments.
  12. I like the VMC's that come on them. Especially the 3/4 ounce baits. Never had a problem losing fish on them.
  13. I just spray my lines down with KVD's line and lure an call it a night. Don't have any problems.
  14. Well I applied it to all my reels a bit ago and we'll see if I can tell any kind of difference tomorrow.
  15. I'm pretty sure they are. I have several flw guys on Facebook and if I remember correctly one of the guys saying they were about to film for one not very long ago.
  16. Well after everyone talking it up I decide to buy some since the majority of my set ups now are spooled with flouro. How do ya'll treat line that's already on a reel? Just spray it on, or do I need to cast out and treat in layers as I reel it back in?
  17. Daiwa crossfire 100% to me the best cheap spinning reel.
  18. I've seen videos of folks dropping baits down storm drains and catching bass and catfish both.
  19. I figured there would be more love for Missile baits on this subject. At 3.99 a pack and good quanities per pack for high quality products they are hard to beat. I think everything in there line up is a fish catcher. .. I really like the havoc crawls as well.
  20. Frog toggz are definitely the best cheap solution.
  21. I honestly don't see a tremendous amount of difference in the two. I have a few rods with the micros but most are still traditional. I don't see any added distance or accuracy. The main thing with me is a slight amount of sensitivity. Which can be a help. With that said, I'll continue just picking my rods up as I see them go on sell with out too much regard as whether or not they are micros or traditional. I like them both.
  22. Missile baits fuse 4.4 on a warlock shakes head is killer in ponds.
  23. I'm a huge fan of Seagar Red Label. I've always had good luck with it and it's cheap. For pitching I'd honestly bump up to the 20 lb line.
  24. Could you put maybe two small bobber stoppers on the bottom followed by a clear Carolina keeper?
  25. I have a quantum that has the micros and did that with the tip. I can't tell any difference with performance at all. It does look a little goofy, but it doesn't bother me.just depends on whether it'll bother you or not.
