Bullet/worm Weights
I prefer 1/4 to 3/8 when I'm flipping no matter that plastic I'm using. If I'm fishing grass or out deeper say between 5 to 12 or so feet I prefer 3/8 to 1/2. If I'm fishing deep ledges I usually fish a 1/2 or when I can find them something like a 5/8. If The wind is blowing I'll almost always opt for the larger of the weights per how I'm fishing. If I'm fishing deep(12 feet and beyond) and need to throw a weight larger than 1/2 due to wind I'll throw my plastic on a 3/4 VMC rugby head or I'll throw a traditional football head jig. I'll also be experimenting with some of the structure jigs that are being brought about this year as well.

Livingston Lures...
He did catch his numbers not the dt6, but he culled all his fish except one on the Livingston. He had caught a seven pounder early on the dt6 that he never upgraded.

Punching Set Ups
Didn't mean to start a jog vs punch set up thread. Just wanted to know anything else about a punching setup I needed to know along with any tips or tricks picked up by everyone over the years. Thank you Frank and others for the great replies.

Remembering Spinnerbait Weights
I always just know the couple of weights that I buy and can tell by look and feel.

Punching Set Ups
With the straight shanks I saw where someone was using two bobber stoppers. On on top and one between the hook and weight. Said it was to keep the smelled hook from curling until he set the hook. Would this be a wise thig to do?

Punching Set Ups
Well since I've decided to try some punching when the hydrilla tops out this year I've been doing a little research. Seems most everyone used the same set up. Some sort of straight shank hook, large tungsten weight, and a bobber stopper all tied together with a snell knot. Are there any other things to do to better my chances of success with this?

Beaver Style Baits?
Well I a big fan of missile baits other baits so I picked several different colors of the d bomb to give a try since they are so highly touted among others. Hopefully they'll catchem real well.

Custom Plaster Of Paris Molds
It worked perfectly. Now I will no longer be throwing away ripped and tore up plastics when fishing.

Beaver Style Baits?
Even in bushes and willows? That is where I am kinda iffy on using them in.

Plastic Swim Bait Help
I know it hasn't been out long and probably hasn't had a chance to get fished much but the new missile shockwave 4.25 is an awesome running little dude. It has better tail motion than any that I have seen yet. And are priced to sell. Only 3.99 a pack I do believe.

Live Target Bait Ball Cranks
I saw them as soon as they came out at this years icast. They look cool but I don't really think they are gonna catch any different. I may be wrong, but on a rapidly moving bait like cranks I don't think it'll matter that much. The only way I can really see it a new killer is maybe pausing it allowing the "bait ball" to be seen buy fish to trigger a strike?

Beaver Style Baits?
Do any of ya'll have a lot of success with these things? I've tried flipping a beaver and didn't catch anything so quickly switched to a go to when my buddy was catching them. I know they are generally good for punching and fishing grass, but flipping bushes and willows is a huge make up of my fishing.

Video Of Howell Catching Fish After Fish On The Livingston
I do believe he said he culled every fish he had in the livewell except a 7 pounder caught on the dt6.

Finishing Tackle Purchases, Need Some Opinions.
As far as lipless cranks go there a few that I have come to like. The red eye shad is flat out a fish catcher. They come with good vmc hooks that are big! If a fish slaps at it you are still likely to catch it. The only problem with then IMO is they tend to hang more that others. Bill Lewis traps are great all around. They catch fish and come through grass well. If you're good you can even get them to come through some stick mats. The excaliburs have really impressed me this last fall. It's all I ended up using all the way up into December. It really came did well ripping out of the grass. Better than the other two. They are what I'll be throwing this year. As far as crankbaits I don't throw them much. But the kvd strike king series are good baits as well as any of the spros.

2014 Bassmaster Champion-Randy Howell
Yep red crankbait it was. Seemed to be one that would dive about 10 feet. Was cranking a long a bank that looked like it had some rocks on it.

You're Fishing The Classic....
Flying monkey you would get disqualified. Lol ... I'd probably start out with an Excalibur trap.

Shakey Heads
Missile baits fuse 4.4 with the warlock head! Hard combo to beat.

Beech Lake In Lexington Tn
Anyone here fish it regularly? I've been on it several times in different times of the year and canny for the life of me figure it out.

Custom Plaster Of Paris Molds
That's awesome. Will definitely look into trying that out. Do you think it would do real well with a worm that has bigger ribs? I'm not actually wanting a senko mold. What I was talking about earlier was using a senko in the plaster just to get a cavity in there. Then taking a dremel or pick and sculpting out the larger ribs or what ever else I decided to make with it.

Snag Proof Reviews?

Crucial Crankbait Rod
Just picked up a bps crankin stick yesterday. I haven't had an opportunity to see any water time with it but it feels great. It's as light as any of the other crankin rods I picked up and has the right back bone and tip that I was looking for. The price point on it is great as well.

Best Casting Floro Line????
Does no one like the seagar red label. I know it's cheaper but I have had absolutely no problems with it. I have it on most of my reels and have caught a lot of fish with it.
