  1. I did know this guy who eats carp. He would clean them and somehow grind them up, then he would make patties out them( like people do can salmon)and eat them with biscuits. I never dared to try one though.
  2. I dont know what I would say my favorite is because I love all types of food and after reading some of these post one thing I can say is I am hungry.
  3. have you tried ebay?
  4. I have only used a few of them becuse i could not afford to try to many so i have to be real selective. But i have used the sammy, pointer and flash minnow and i think they are worth the money.
  5. Roland martin Aaron martins Gerald swindel ( i think all of these guys would be pretty cool (fun) with )
  6. I believe some new techonolgy would benefit the sport as mentioned earlier such as improved live well performance, better engine technology, boat design ect. BUT I dont think a computer chips in fish or computer used to determine lure choice and other junk is a good Idea I like the idea of me vs fish.
  7. I dont know but i am sure it will have something to do with the new senko-ika-chattering-swimbait
  8. I watched a show on this past weekned i dont remebr what channel or the name of the show but they was talking about the sharelunker program. They was telling how they they take the big fish and how they are breeding them to come up with a line of trophy fish. Pretty interesting it imo worth watching if you get a chance.
  9. i would say a 2 becuase i fish tourneys alot but all other times a 5 with some 3 thrown in
  10. #1 choice is minnows but i also like throwing or trolling with a beetle spin
  11. a bait caster is an all around good choice for bass fishing but like others have said you will need to practice with some to avoid a lot of frustrations later. One thing i lke about a spinnig real is it is better at handling lighter weight jigs and lures. But neither really has a big advantage over the other.
  12. I run 2 on my boat as well a garmin mounted on the trolling motor and a lowrance mounted at the back with no problems.
  13. I have used the berkely scale for a couple of years now and i am satisfied with them. Like infidel said we done the same thing and compared several scales and was very close in accuarcy. I havent never used the xtools scale but i like the way its is made.
  14. just wanted to say my hat is off to Rw for taking the time to help people who struggling to catch fish or who are just getting started. Great post and great advice
  15. i believe the sport is bass fishing is stronger now than ever and will continue to grow. But it is up to all of us anglers and sportsman to help protect and preserve it.

  17. I just started throwing the robo worm recently i have not tried it texas style but look forward to throwing it this spring. Have fished them drop shot and wacky style weightless with good sucess although i have to agree with RW caught a lot of smaller bass on them.
  18. my son is a costa del mar dealer and if i am not mistaken he told me that they provide prescription lenses but i will find out for sure.
  19. i have also found when fishing for bass with soft plastic such as a brush hog use a larger size and attach a rattle then fish it c-rigged or t-rigged.
  20. I would say soft plastics are my bread butter lure and i will throw them year round.
  21. Fishing soft plastics either texas rigged or carolina rigged
  22. there is a lot more to it than just picking which one holds the most bass. There are a lot of factors that plays into which one holds the fish, Examples would be weather, water temp, bait or food, fishing pressure or even the time of day plays a part. My favorite preference is underwater structure.
  23. my two allaround choices is green pumkin and red shad
