  1. Thank y'all, I've thought about it and will go with the 999 which I will try and mount in the dash. I may even create a fiberglass mold if it doesn't fit, just to keep things looking clean and streamlined. Still planning on the 360 up front, and I'll sit down and fabricate a mount for the "radar". I'm thinking a clamp with some bearning's inside so the iPilot can turn without the Hummingbird being disturbed, who knows if it will work until I get my hands on it, and a drawing board.
  2. My main plan is to burn up the shallows, then again I would love to sit a little ways out, so I can fish earlier and later into the year. I'm sure if I sat down for a few hours I could fabricate something for the "radar" mount. So I've narrowed it to the Hummingbird 899si in the dash, and 360 up front. I should be able to link the 899 with the iPilot right?
  3. I change between Oakley "titanium polarized" on really bright days and "blue ice" on partly sunny or overcast.
  4. Maybe I'm just being lazy for wanting a iPilot, just thought I would be much easier to troll along contours, and focus on just fishing. In all fairness the only reason I've considered the 360 was, is that it can scan the front half of the bow. I'm just at a total loss for what is the best bang for the buck on the bow end.
  5. Oakley's for me, Hijinx with blue ice lenses. However I'd love to invest in some Costa's, best glasses money can buy.
  6. Nintendo Black Bass Xbox 360 Minecraft and rapala Mostly play on the ipad now, BPS fishing game, and saltwater kings. I fish therefore I rarely play a fishing video game, mostly racing sims, like Forza 5 and iRacing
  7. First please forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject, but that would be why I joined these boards anyways. I'm in the market for a new boat, I'm looking at a nitro, skeeter, or maybe even a bullet, I hope to get some feedback on boats as we'll to gps/sonar. So far I'd like to add a Minn Kota with Ipilot, and I'm trying to figure out what gps I should pair with it to get best results from this. Also I would like to add the new Hummingbird 360 scan on the bow, with gps/sonar in the dash. First what should I look for in a dash mounted scanner, and Second what are the pros/cons to the differ t brands. Last but not least could some point a video out to help reading the bottom composition/fish on sonar?
  8. They're not spawning yet, after the snow we got the water temps are hovering around 39-42 degrees. It's still very slow fishing here, and I doubtful the pre-spawn will start before mid march now.
  9. I'll put it like this, I was in a near fatal car crash when I was just 18. Car flipped a few times, well I ended up puking all over myself, and some other bodily function as well. Ever since then I've kept a spare set of clothes and towel in my truck. Can't tell you how many times I've had to change clothes from weather, or mud.
  10. Way to many lakes to narrow to one, just depends on which one is near you. I prefer falls for my smallies
  11. For trick worms and finesse worms, both regular and magnum I Texas rig them. I started with these, and really are still my goto bait, espailly at night. As far as colors here's what I have in my box right now. Plum, watermelon candy, black, green pumpkin, pumpkin seed, black with blue. I like using watermelon candy and black at night, usually trick worms in both magnum and regular sizes for night time. Hasn't failed me yet. Hope this helps
  12. We made all Michelin Aircraft tires, and retread tires. I miss the heck out of that place, pretty sure my tool box has been gang raped by now.
  13. Michelin US-11 Mold Technician, until July 2013- ruptured the Lower disks in my spine, and tore half the muscle as well. So currently on Workman's Comp, and very ashamed to admit this somedays.
  14. Medium power, fast action with Berkley vanish 10lb fluro. I've been using a two tome craw, paired with gamakatsu 2/0 EWG. I even like the anaconda worms rage put's on the market. Those are fish finder's, Bass will just inhale it.
  15. Guess I'm lucky in this area. My sister has her own printing maching that can creat cutom decals, and all sorts of logos. I wanted a BassKnuckles decal, just couldn't justify the $7 for one, so she kindly made me one in like ten minutes. I know if she can find the material she'll make any logo I want. Btw those decals look great, I can see how some don't like to "advertise" for free. Far as I'm concerned it usually answers alot of people's questions about what gear I'm using. How could you miss a giant Hook company's logo, or crank bait company? Saves time, or sometimes starts a conversation about a particular company I use.
  16. Texas rigging works well, or even as a trailer. Best use (for me) full moon nights t-rigged. Slowly work them along the button, and around rock piles. Great baits, only complaint I have is the claws get ripped up by fish too easily, but I guess that's how you know they work.
  17. Ron, I've yet to order anything from you, I'm in the marlet for a new spinning reel, and I'll look at your site first for sure.
  18. Just eBay fishing patches, and get a blank Flexfit hat. If your wife can sew just get her to finish it, or put them on any shirt. I like the old style look of the Rebel Lures patch on my hat's and other various companies like Water Gremlin. Look on tackle warehouse for fishing apperal, and if you have an Academy Outdoors try there. Good Luck.
  19. It kinda like the governmwnt saying we feel so bad for stealing all that money form you this past year, here's a little back.
  20. My daughter got her name after Bob Marley, Well we've settle on names (for now) Girl, Paisley Brooke and a boy Mason Eli. At least I won in the girls name. My wife decided to name the boy Mason after partly my dad's occupation and my affiliation . Thanks guys, for all the congrats.
  21. Being from Nc we had thought about naming a girl Caroline, I like Finley, yet if we have a boy and name him Fisher, I can call him Fish or minnow. Lol
  22. Thanks Boomer...yea, to keep from sounding like a retarded name it takes thought.
  23. Lol, I hang a zoom tree frog from my rear view with a gamakatsu EEG thru it. And if you have a bobber on your truck antenna.
  24. Well Gents, my wife is now pregnant with our second child, and I'm trying to convince her to an angler name. We have no clue if it's a boy or girl, yet we would like to go well with our daughters name Marley. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying for Fisher if it's a boy, yet getting all kinds of reasons she hates the name.
