Sorry all you tournament guys who have won some money fishing tournaments. If it's not your career, you aren't a pro. To ad to the post, I know Scott Martin has made some posts, but I'm not sure if it's actually him or if it's someone who is doing it for him.

Jimmy Houston is my personal favorite but there's a whole lot who tie for second.

I go with either 12 lb Berkley Trilene XT or 12 lb 100% Fluorocarbon.

The St. Croix Avid would be a great choice!

I don't have an Avid, but I've got the same rod in the LTB line and absolutely love it! I use it mainly for wacky rigs and some drop shotting, but it's a very versatile rod. It works for pretty much all finesse applications, you can throw small jerkbaits, topwaters, smaller lipless crankbaits, etc., etc. I'm sure if you got the Avid you would't be disappointed.

I'll throw a few different trailers on a swim jig, but my favorite would have to be a Big Bite Baits Cane Thumper. It gives it awesome action, and they hold up for multiple fish catches.

You need to use very gentle downward twitches, and give the bait slack so it can turn. If it's just coming straight, it usually means you aren't giving it slack after the initial twitch. The Booyah Pad Crasher is one of the easiest frogs to walk. As previously mentioned the Bronzeye Shad has a very exaggerated walking action. You can catch them on other retrieves, but walking seems to be the most productive to me anyway.

Haha very true! I think you're learning that buying a boat isn't something you just wake up one morning and decide to do, it's more of a process! You'll find the right one, just keep looking!

I'd say go to a local tackle store and get your hands on those rods and if you can even bring with the reel you plan to put on them. See how they feel to you. If you end up with the Rage I'd think their 7'1" M/F or 7'1" MH/F would be the best all around option.

I've got a 3+ and on 1080P with wifi on and the backpak battery I can get about 2 1/2 to 3 hours of recording.

Although it does seem a little sketchy, it may not be. If he got it as a trade and the previous owner had it registered, he could use it that way without transferring the title or paying the tax. If he didn't use it like he thought he would, or didn't like it as much as he thought he would and decided to sell, he would have to get the title in his name to sell it otherwise he would be title jumping. Not saying that's what it is, but there are explanations for it. In fact, I sold my boat to upgrade about two years ago and got registration renewal papers sent to me this spring. The guy decided to use it until the registration expired and this year he'd have to put it in his name. Haha yeah, I mean it is an 18 footer with a 90 so it's value is going to go up but that is a bit high.

What was the title issue? That looks like it's in pretty good shape. It is not a Force so you're in the clear there. One thing to note is that being that it's at a dealer the price will be higher, that's just a given.

I own the current generation LTB's and I think they balance very well with a reel in the 7oz range.

Look in the setup options, the resolution can be changed to a higher one.

Not sure what your setup is but a few tips to prevent this would be to 1) check you hooks to make sure they're sharp. 2) Make sure you're throwing it on the right type of rod. It should be a moderate action rod even though a fast action can work. 3) check your drag. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make most often with hard baits with treble hooks is they have their drags set way too tight. Yes you want to keep them from running too much, but you don't want them to give enough resistance that it allows them to pull the hooks loose which sounds like what happened to you on your outing.

I've been using Eco Pro Tungsten weights for a few years now and have had 0 issues with them. It's possible your line could have weak spots further up from the line. That would also explain why there it wasn't broken at the knot.

I use hollow belly almost exclusively. About 95% of my froggin is done with a Booyah Pad Crasher or Poppin' Pad Crasher.

I believe he's talking about the power pedestals and not the manual adjustment ones. OP: I think with the seats with the concave back are meant to be a lower back/upper butt level. If you're going to use the seat side it'd be in the lower tush area lol.
