  1. In my opinion, and I am certainly no Yankee fan, Jeter is absolutely a hall of famer. He remained clean in an era of tainted stats. Above .300 average, even found the power stroke a few seasons. 12+ all star appearances, he has the rings, the 3000 hits. One of the greatest of the modern era IMO. And I am an Atlanta fan, not a Yankee fan!
  2. I disagree with calling him a "compiler". Anyone with a career .300 average is an exceptional hitter. His I believe is .311. Any career .300 hitter is a HOFer no matter what city he plays in.
  3. 2 packs of 5" senkos (1 watermelon, 1 junebug) 2 packs of Rage Tail baby craws (1 Bama Craw, 1 black/blue) Rapala DT 4 & 6 in Perch color Storm Chugbug 2.5" in Tennessee Shad color 1/4 oz tungsten weights 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG hooks 2/0 Lazer Sharp straight shank bait holder hooks (for wacky rigged senkos)
  4. Judging by the size of the bass you've been posting pictures of, no wonder you started this contest! Lol
  5. I'm in. Might be hard to place being from the north but I will try.
  6. It was a Rage Tail Baby Craw early in the year, but lately it's been a T-rigged Culprit 10" black ribbon-tail.
  7. Came VERY close to losing my favorite setup last night. I had a large Northern Pike go after a brush hog boat-side, so without thinking I dropped it back down. Well as soon as I did, that pike crushed the brush hog, and I wasn't ready. He pulled so hard that the trigger on my casting rod nearly broke my pinky finger, and of course I had my drag locked in with 40lb braid. Luckily the pike cut through the braid before my whole setup and pinky finger when down with him. My pinky is very sore today. Exciting though.
  8. Got my first one last year. Small two-seat car-topper with a trolling motor. It's small but it's mine and I've certainly caught enough fish from it. I take it out 3-4 times a week.
  9. I was either 4 or 5, and the bass was about a pound covered in 2 pounds of weeds. Nobody believed I had a fish on, but I knew.
  10. I have used Spider Wire Stealth braid in 20lb test. Casted fine, didn't flatten out. I have no complaints with it. Tried Berkley Trilene braid and it flattened out after not too long, and was hard to cast after that. I'm trying Power Pro right now, and so far no complaints, just like Spider Wire Stealth.
  11. Estimated at 510' I think! It was like 4 rows from being clear of the whole stadium.

I have a setup that is always rigged up with either a jig or something T-rigged, and one setup that is always rigged up with a senko. Don't really have a 3rd, but I always have a senko and either jig or T-rig ready to go.
  13. Last year I witnessed 2 bass spawning in mid-July as water temps were right around 80.
  14. Anybody watch the Derby? How about that shot Stanton hit in the first round?! Almost left the stadium!
  15. A couple weeks ago I was fishing a small lake with a buddy, and behind our boat we heard a lot of splashing and commotion. We turned around to see a bass, probably 14-16", jump out of the water 5-6 times, with a LARGE northern pike right behind it tryng to grab it. Never found out what happened, but it was one of the coolest things Ive ever seen.
  16. 4" Senkos and Hulagrubs have worked the best for me. Also a Storm Chugbug.
  17. My favorite are Rage Tail chunks, craws and baby craws. I also use Zoom Twin Tail Grubs and chunks. I throw a lot of different stuff on as trailers, but that is what I use most often.
  18. I bought a Pflueger President this year. No reason to ever by a spinning reel other than the President. Compared to all my other spinning reels, including a couple Shimanos, the President is by FAR my favorite.
  19. The claws on RT Craws get ripped off all the time for me. As a jig trailer, they usually only last one hard hookset before they're too torn up. Little fish will rip the claws off a lot as well. Rage Tail products aren't very durable, but wow do they work. I'll sacrifice durability on a plastic if it catches fish.
  20. A lot of the times when a bass hits a bait on the fall, the line will jump and may or may not start moving quick. You may also feel a slight thump in the handle. Easiest way to tell is to watch for anything irregular in the line. Suddenly slack or taught could mean a fish has hit it.
  21. Storm Chugbug, any color with an orange belly.
  22. Black & blue grass jig with a black Zoom Twin Tail Grub and a "Toad" colored brush jig with a Rage chunk. And my favorite: Bama Craw brush jig with a Bama Craw baby Rage Craw.
  23. I started around 4-5 years old, 22 now. The things fishing had taught me: Appreciate the outdoors and the brown and green fish that live in them, appreciate my time off of work and most importantly, fishing is absolutely 100% addicting. The only cure for this crippling addiction is more fishing.
