That means that you, and everyone you know, are ill-informed and probably just parroting.

Tell us about a time a bait you struggle with clicked for you!
Spinnerbait. For the longest time I called it a noisemaker. Just a giant hunk of metal that did nothing but scare fish away. Until one day I’m fishing some sparse milfoil and the spinnerbait just called to me. It was that day that I became no longer a noisemaker but a confidence bait. Now it’s my #1 confidence bait and producer. For the last decade or so it’s been responsible for the most fish and for a few of the top 5 biggest.

If you could live anywhere...
If we’re talking fishing only, then I’d have a little cabin on the shores of Lake Baccarac.

Knowing when it’s time.
Thank you gentlemen for the words and advice. Losing my childhood dogs were hard, and I knew losing this old girl will be hard too. But to be honest I could never have imagined just how hard this would be.

Knowing when it’s time.
@gim thank you and appreciate your perspective. My old girl has been on Librella injections the last several months as well. Since she was a couple years old she got fish oil capsules once a day and the last several years she’s been on dosaquin as well for her joints as well. I feel lucky that she’s lived over 16 years. It just hurts so much knowing I can’t get that time back with her.

Knowing when it’s time.
I have an elderly dog, she’s 16.5 years old and in a month we’ll have reached 15 years together. I adopted her when I moved out of my parents when I was an irresponsible 19 year old kid, and I’d be lying if I said this well behaved girl didn’t help raise me. Right from the jump, she was well behaved, protective but never aggressive. Loyal, adaptive. The perfect dog. And right now, I am really struggling. Over the last year or 2 I’ve watched her slow down a lot. Arthritis in her back legs have made it so she needs to be carried up and down stairs. But over the last couple weeks I’ve been coming to the conclusion that it may be time for her to pass on. Just typing this out is hard. But today, she’s been having a good day. Walking a little better, seemingly more content and comfortable. She’s been having good days and bad day. And I just don’t know how to make the decision to let her pass on. My heart feels broken. I just want to do right by her as she has by me the last 15 years. How do I know when it’s time? How do I know I’m making the right decision? She’s still eating and drinking. But I know she’s in pain. I plan on bringing her to the vet this week to hopefully get some advice, but I am still worried I won’t know that it’s time. Ive lost a couple dogs that I grew up with, but this dog has been by my side my entire life adult life. I knew she was the one the second I laid eyes on her at the shelter. How am I supposed to make the decision?

What Happened?
I am of the strong opinion that waiting on a book set in any scenario will in the long run do nothing but reduce the amount of hooksets you convert into hookups. Realization, followed by dropping the rod, reeling the slack, and setting the hook is more than enough time for a bass to inhale a bait and reject it. There aren’t many dogmatic opinions I have in bass fishing, but this is one of them. Don’t wait, ever.

The Lost Art of Drift Fishing
I’m mostly a drift fisherman. It’s rare that I use my anchor and only on the windiest days do I ever think about how Spotlock would benefit me. Drifting around every side of a point or drifting down a bank of laydowns are 2 of my most common methods. I do have to adjust my position with the trolling motor sometimes but I’m drifting.

What makes a place a "small fish" place?
The limiting of carrying capacity is usually done by lack of resources, which in this case would be food/forage.

Somebody get this man some open water, stat!- “Older” terminology
That acronym is taken by “squirrel cage induction motor” lol- Do you post your bass pics and videos at any other sites?
I’ll occasionally post a video to YouTube. Besides that, it’s only Bass Resource. Come to think of it, besides for my landscape business, I don’t think I’ve ever posted a picture on the internet besides here on bass resource. I don’t do the social medias.- I put my cat down today
My condolences. Pets are never just pets and I’m sorry that you lost a family member. The fact that you did it yourself is probably how it should always be, and you possess a rare strength that most, and I, certainly will never have. I’ll put a little bend in my cap brim for Bob.- Go to baits always on the deck?
There is never a scenario that I don’t have a spinnerbait rigged up and ready to go. Jig, wacky senko, and when the water is north of 50°, a popper, are always tied on in the boat as well.- The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, and The Race For The Pennant Is On!
And opening day is finally here. Smells like spring up in here.- Favorite T rig, and C rig bait.
Rage Bug all day. My most used hardware would be a 4/0 EWG Gammy, a 5/16oz tungsten bullet unpegged. Usually I’m pitching to downed timber on steep banks.- Favorite creature, craw, bait.
Rage Bug all day. Colors are Bama Craw, Green Pumpkin, Falcon Lake Craw.- favorite large worm
Culprit 10” in black or tequila.- Post a photo a day!
