  1. Maybe not my most responsible purchase…but I’m an adult and I do what I want ?
  2. This is my happy place:
  3. What part of upstate NY are you in? I fish the capital region and the Adirondacks. Fish are definitely in their fall pattern as of now. Days are shorter and the water temps are rapidly cooling. I’m getting less bites from deeper weed edges, and more bites on timber. The milfoil and hydrilla are starting to die back. Look for grass that is still green, like elodea, large-leaf pond weed, or lily pads.
  4. 60

I consider 61 that Maris hit to be the real single season home run record. Going to be cool to see it broken.
  5. Line is slipping on the spool. Braid without backing tends to do this.
  6. Looks like you stuffed a softball down that things throat for the picture!
  7. Early fall is spinnerbaits, poppers, walkers and creature or craw style soft plastics.
  8. Stuff just like this. The tip of the main laydown sits in about 14’ of water, on a steep bank that drops to 30’ with moderately sparse Elodea, and a small patch of lily pads.
  9. Fishing tackle of all kinds. My fishing gear collection is my pride and joy. I spend a lot of time with it, on the water and off lol Ive also been collecting Atlanta Braves memorabilia since I was a kid.
  10. That one looks like it has a very steady diet too! Mine is probably this blemish-free beauty. 4lb 13oz, 20.5”. Not a mark on her, and very memorable strike on a spinnerbait. And the look of admiration on my face ? I’ve gotten some very nicely colored smallmouth this year that I wish I had gotten pictures of, including one that was solid black. Slipped out of my hands over the side of the boat before I could take a pic.

If it’s anything like my little Troy Bilt pusher, it should keep going and going. Last year it was cutting about 30 lawns per week, never had an issue. This year it’s the back up pusher, because I know if called upon, I can rely on it.

Wow that’s a steal. Can you pick one up for me too? Haha. I really like Troy Bilt push mowers. TBH I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a Troy Bilt rider but if it’s like their pushers it should be great.
  13. I love the Carhartt flannels. I’ve worn them for years and they still seem knew. Everything they make is great quality. Huk just released a flannel as well which I wanna try. I love all their other clothing.
  14. This has been my experience as well.
  15. 1. Spinnerbait 2. Popper like a Pop Max or Chug Bug 3. Creature or craw style bait 4. Jig 5. Walking bait like Skitterwalk or Zara Spook
  16. I thought she was really gonna go 5 too, but scale said 4-11. If only she ate one more yellow perch before my spinnerbait crossed her path…
  17. Hit my favorite lake this morning hopeful for some good fall action. I was happy to find that the fall seasonal pattern was in full swing here which means bass can be found on shoreline timber again, and they also move to the coves that have pondweed which stays greener longer than the milfoil. They wanted 2 things; a Rage Structure Bug T-rigged with a 5/16oz tungsten bullet, and a 3/4oz spinnerbait with a Rage Swimmer trailer and I obliged. Big girl of the day on the spinnerbait: Weather was perfect. Cool but slightly humid and foggy with a slight warm breeze. Good numbers, decent size, great weather. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect morning of fall bassin.
  18. Really makes no sense especially for the people who have a mowing service. If you’re going to pay me to mow your lawn every week regardless, why would you want it to be burnt to a crisp? Just so I can dust it with my mower? Makes my job easier I guess but it looks terrible. Can’t make sense of it lol
  19. I wish. A few people just want their lawn scalped and couldn’t care less about what it looks like but most of our customers are very “particular” and will complain if it’s not bagged. Even when mulched. We upcharge it but with the amount of rain we’ve had it was beyond brutal.
  20. Equipment took a real beating this week!
  21. 2 days, 30+ lawns worth of clippings. Easily over 6 cubic yards. Went the entire month of august without collecting a single clipping because it was so dry. Then we got an entire season’s worth of rain in 2 weeks.
  22. And the Tecáte of course. Man I’m homesick for that place.
  23. So weak margaritas and sizzlin fajitas? ?
  24. Should be a good time of year to throw to wood. If I’m thinking of the same place, I had a lot of luck with smallmouth in standing timber there some years ago.
  25. These were ordered lol she’s an artist but not that kind! I told her she should have just told me she painted them and I would have believed it!
