Happens to the best bass fishermen in the world however that doesn't change the fact that it still stings. I have pretty much gone to using straight braid on all my jigs with the exception of dragging a football head I'll use a 16lb Sunline Shooter leader. When I'm pitching, swimming or punching it's straight braid for me I've had my fair share of heartbreaks.

What type of trailers do you guys use on your swim jigs I've been having some success with the keitech easy shiners.

Just understand that the drag on a $20 reel will not be as good as a reel that cost $100 just keep that in mind when purchasing especially if your going to be using it for light line applications. I would suggest buying the best you can afford.

Steez fluorocarbon = not that good in many different ways than one. You are much better off with sunline fc sniper.

I've used one before in my boat which is a 16ft aluminum however I have a 70lb thrust trolling motor so I only use it when it gets super super windy. There nice and work as advertised however most times it's more of a pain than what's it worth IMO. Try one out for yourself you may like it.

You can put a zoom fluke on the back or a grub. Like others said just fish it like a Spinnerbait but just slowly enough to keep that blade moving you'll feel it with your rod.

There is no such thing as a gear ratio "too fast" for frogging.

I have used both extensively for months side by side and there both really close however I would give the slight edge to the curado I from what I have seen in terms of casting distance however it's minimal 5-10 yards tops.

Check to make sure there's no tension on your spool

I like buying LC because there good right out of the box they come with super strong hooks and they run true right out the box.
