  1. Nice catches! Welcome to the board.
  2. Picked this idea up off of you tube. It works perfectly but isnt the most cool looking way to fish. HAT CAMERA: Things you need: 1. Hat 2. Washers 2count 3. Nut 4. Bolt 5. Knife 6. Cheap camera This is how I did it. Went to goodwill found a hat with a double thick brim. Went to homedepot with the camera. Found a small screw that would screw into the bottom of the camera. Found two matching size washers and a nut. Find the center of the hats brim and poke a hole closest to the head as possible. Placed the wash on the bolt. Put the bolt through the hole. Placed another washer then the nut and tightened it all down. Camera can now screw on and off and you have a hat camera. I chose nylon screws nuts and washers also used poly urethane washers against the hat brim to help keep everything from spinning. After the cost of the camera. It came to a whopping total of $3.23 Ill have to upload videos and a pic later.
  3. Had this happen before too. I wonder how fast they really are going. Looks and feels like 300fps easily.
  4. On average the size goes up but the amount usually goes down.
  5. Little fish try to eat huge baits. Big fish can and will eat even bigger baits. Doesnt mean thats what they always want but 10inch worms are that happy medium imo. Its good to have 4" through 12" selections.
  6. What is a good suspending jerkbait. I really want to walk the dog in about 3-4 ft deep water but my Husky jerk doesnt seem to dive that deep.
  7. To be honest. I learned right hand baitcasters. I would prefer a left handed one.... how ever the way I use it as of now is kind of goofy. I feel that goofy sway holding the rod actually helps a bit in giving the lures I toss a little unique action. Maybe it doesnt but who knows. It works for me!
  8. Blue gill and pickeral have very rapid ticks and small bass.
  9. Usually I keep the rod off to my side so i can give the fish a couple feet to play with the bait if he decides to run. Slowly point strait and then set the hook. Otherwise I reel in the slack carefully and set it. Always engage your reel as soon as possible. If you are waiting for the bait to sink, while feeding line out for the depth.... be ready for a hook set. A lot of people miss the strikes on the fall for this reason.
  10. With finger on the line you can feel much more. Sometimes fish pick them up and only move an inch. The bait is usually Fully in their mouth to. Sneaky fish sometimes.
  11. Im down. Can they sti setup an online raffle? I bet a lot of us would donate.
  12. Yeah that happens time to time. I would be fishing with a big gator near by and little kids would be extremely worried about me being eaten lol.
  13. Either use super dark or super bright colors. Mass and vubration may help but dont under estimate a trick worm. Fish will rely on sound/movement/vibration Have fun they still bite plenty.
  14. Keep the line semi slack. Meaning its not tight but you will still feel the hits. Its easier said then done but completely worth it.
  15. Ive done this once before where I cut the main and tossed it in the water. Was more amused by my stupidity then mad. Never done it since lol.
  16. Contour and cover seem to be key factors. But Mike iconelli explains really well in his you tube videos about all of this.
  17. Went for an hour after work yesterday. Got two dinks. Ive been catching so many on jigs as of late im really considering a plano jig tray and loading it up full.
  18. Sweet looking fish though.
  19. From big toho marina? Down to the glades?!
  20. Ive seen this in quiet a few lakes and you see it in tournaments as well but usually they dont look this bad. Also seen it in crappie before. Question is... why? Its obviously a parasite of some sort. You can see them squirming around on the fish. Anyone know more about these parasites and sores?
  21. Went out and got two this morning on east lake toho but I wasnt happy at all. The fish were sickly looking with blisters and really skinny. Pumpkin/watermelon boo jig.
  22. Cant say for sure with the high pressure moving in. This morning I was watching bass chasing smaller bait fish and a 5-6lb bass going after >1lb bass. Was catching some in east toho on a booyah pumpkin jig.
  23. I was eye balling it. Sold out of 30lb too.
  24. I prefer suffix but recently I didnt have 20$ to spend on it and really wanted 30lb braid. Have to be honest i got a 12$ spool of 30lb spider wire... To me. It seems all 10lb braid is absolutely garbage. This 30 lbs spiderwire isnt bad at all in my opinion. Esp if you are on a budget.
