  1. Sedan. I am looking at canoes mostly because I know with some pool noodles and a little 550 cord i can get it around.... but then again.... I really do need a truck. Not just for fishing.
  2. Fish structure for sure! Ive watched the bass in East toho on days like today. They go completely lazy in the shallows and snuggle up to cover but pretty much go to sleep. I would say mid depth fish are your best bet. Look for shell beds with a smooth slope into deeper waters and use a good swim bait or crankbait. You should catch some pigs. P.S. everytime I watch boats from shore they all make the same mistakes. Fishing right against the reeds and visible grass. Find that grass below the surface in deeper waters amd you should be good to go. Less pressure in thoughs areas.
  3. Should I spend money on a kayak. Hmmmmmm
  4. Haha i wish I had video of the 8 boats that pulled up right where I was and started casting feet from me.
  5. These threads have to be simply the best. Love all the off the wall reactions.
  6. Then my personal best was around 14lbs! Lol!
  7. So I still have time to try and enter.
  8. It even looks delicious!
  9. Hey zodiacs are inflatables... but they cost like 6k lol. Which I will get one one day but that will be for lobster diving mostly. I keep looking for cheap stuff on CL just have found the canoe I want yet. On a side note. The local Fire department built a cardboard and ductape boat for local charity race. That thing was hilarious. It didnt sink at all lol.
  10. When does this competition end?
  11. Pickeral are a little bit annoying sometimes (stealing lures, destroying baits) but they sure are fun to catch. Like freshwater baracudas to me. Supposibly they taste good too but ive never thought aboit eating them. Sometimes it happens. Ive had similare days. Even when I think trying to slow down or speed up retrieves might get them pickerals off my back. They still go after it lol.
  12. Wadding out on some flats in the keys. A giant baracuda decided to start going after me for some reason. Was probably 6ft long. Ended up finding a patch grass and we went back and forth around it for a good minute. The whole time im just mumbling all around the mulberry bush. I came to the conclusion he was chasing the silver emblem on my sandles and I ditched them. Then ran on water back to shore.
  13. To buy a dingy! Lol. Has anyone tried using these super cheap inflatable boats from the wally worlds and sporting good places? I use to have one when I was younger and its not quiet a bass boat but im sure I will be able to go get the lunkers im looking for. Anyone here use one or know of which ones to avoid?
  14. Sucked up jigs.
  15. Either. Trick worms and senkos wacky... dragged slowly is a great way to really mess with a fish. Pulling them up and letting them fall can really irritate them. Fast retrieves get some nice reaction bites. I love wacky rig fishing! A few people in my family on thanksgiving seen me doing it. They thought I lost my mind.
  16. I would say fairly good. Seen multiple 12s 10s and 8s pulled out in the last year.
  17. Edited my post. I would go with swimbaits. I havent been on west lake but over on east ive been getting lucky with gambler duz it, 10inch ribbon tails, and magnum speed worms.
  18. Ive seen bigger fish then that weight in far lower then what ive expected and since then Ive always lowered my weight estimates. 2lbs is probably a little high. I would guess around 1.3lbs. As far as toho goes. Swimbait it up!
  19. Jig'em?
  20. A lot of times I will take up a huge area fishing walking up and down the bank. So ill usually hang 10-20ft away from others. I have had people come right next to me when I find a good spot. It really annoys me. Buttttttt....... The most annoying is when a lake has only a couple places to fish from and a boater anchors off and fishes towards me!!!! Ive seriously considered using a huge saltwater rod with a heavy heavy heavy braid and a mess of trebble hooks to snag their line/lure and swipe their rods out of their hand. Havent had the balls to do it yet though. Also considering egg weights as perfectly acceptible projectiles.
  21. Definitly was the government. Some man jumped out of a black stealth helicopter to see what you were up to.

  23. This post makes me extremely saddened. Normally Im not a tree hugging hippie type but lets be honest. A lot of us fishing types see what is really going on. Lawns, agriculture, and chemicals have slowly made their ways into our favorote places. It has hurt fishing and more so is making the everglades, bay of florida, and many coastal areas lose coral, wildlife, and beauty to them. The private communities surrounding lakes with lack of public fishing areas is also heart wrenching. I went looking at Lake Conway and couldnt even find a decent place. Let alone a public boat ramp.
  24. Im still waiting to see what that bluegill spinner reels in.
