What you said about the rod handle bothered me too at first, then I used it and about 4 fishing trips later probably over a thousand cast total couldn't tell a difference on the longer handle! Sorry for the terrible run on.

I like to throw weightless plastics in stuff like that. Magnum flukes work great because you can work them just under the water and right over the weeds because the sink so slow!

I know it really comes down to personal preference, but I'd like to hear what you guys like to throw on the spit shot! Thanks!

Snapping a rod! Or falling in ice cold water, Not sure which was worse

I think it's bad luck to only bring one rod! Every time I do I seem to at least back lash once so bad I want to throw my rod in the water or the line snaps on a throw! Just a superstition though...

A long time ago when I was only 4-5 my sister caught a bass with a mouse in it's mouth so id say anytime they feel like it! Lol

Went out to my favorite pond this week! Once before school and then after! My buddy caught a new pb didn't weigh her, but she was on old fish! I managed to get a few decent ones! Here's the pics!

I caught a 16 inch crappie last summer on one! Thought I had a monster bass on, nope just a crappie

I use a backpack I use and keep everything in! The big compartment holds my 3 hard boxes, smaller pockets hold various crap, and there's a large pocket on the bottom I keep all my plastics in! Works like a charm and you don't have to drop a bunch of cash on it, and it's comfortable to carry!

This summer I'm going to get a swimbait rod and I honestly have no clue where to start my search other than google! I'm looking for a decent rod around 150-200 bucks! I want to throw lures that are from 2-4 ounces on it! Please let me know!
