Lund Renegade 1875 Feedback?
Hey Guys - It was brought to my attention a few people on here have this boat so hoping you might be able to help. Seriously considering this boat, I've seen a few on the water locally (Musky Fisherman ironically) and they seem to fish really well. I've looked at a few other brands, like that I have a Lund dealer (who I know personally) 5 minutes from my house. There isn't a 'ton' of real user feedback on these boats considering they have been out for a few seasons now. I've heard good stuff, and I've read some of the detailed posts on them which helps. I guess overall, anyone with this boat do you: 1. Have any regrets in your purchase? 2. Have things you don't like about the boat? 3. How do you like the rod locker? In weird way, this is my biggest fear. Not so much the side locker, but how its laid out I worry it's going to be a pain with 8 rods in it. My biggest things: -I want 2 Talons (fish some really skinny water areas under bridges to access so Poles aren't an option) -Potentially a 4" Jackplate like the *** guys have theirs setup -Ultrex on the front I don't need it to be a speed demon, but I also don't want it to feel underpowered with the 115 so would love to hear if anyone has the above set-up? Any insight would help - thanks a ton guys!

Best color for red eye shad in MN
I've fished MN & WI a lot since I've lived in either my entire life. Thrown the Red Eye a ton as well. Sexy Shad works good almost anywhere, under the right conditions. Perch has been my personal best, but I fish a lot of lakes where Perch is the main forage, especially for Smallmouth. This is very common across MN / WI. One thing to pay attention to is what they are spitting up on the way to the boat, this can really help clue you in.

Needing a new tackle bag
I have the Large and Super Magnum of this Cabela's lineup - use one or the other depending on how much I need to take on a given day. Both are a few seasons old now and I don't have any complaints. http://www.cabelas.com/product/cabela-s-advanced-anglers-8482-tackle-bags/1391170.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dfisherman%252Bseries%252Btackle%26x%3D10%26y%3D6%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%252BProducts&Ntt=fisherman+series+tackle

Thoughts on Ish's Phat Frog
That would make sense.. Thanks for the tip I'm most definitely going to try that!

Thoughts on Ish's Phat Frog
Have you had any problems with the frog not collapsing because of the rattle? Its an issue on all 4 that I have (all 4 get bit, a ton) which hurts hook-ups. I ordered them all at once, did I get lemons maybe? I'm starting to think mine are lemons then... Does the rattle in yours move around? I can push it around with my fingers - when its in the head hook-up is nearly 100%. If I get lazy and it floats down toward the butt the hook-up is closer to 25%. But again, comparing how the frog collapses when the rattle is in those positions its no surprise. Its day & night how soft it feels.

Lost all my Tackle where do I start?
Sorry to hear that man! I'd start with baits that are multi-purpose and 'year' round sort of baits. If I had to start someplace the baits I'd go to would be: -Zoom Trick Worm (or similar shape) in Green Pumpkin or similar - Can fish it t-rigged, on a shakey head, wacky rigged or on a Drop Shot for Smallmouth or Largemouth, etc. -Zoom Fluke in White - Smallmouth and Largemouth go-to for me, year-round. -Squarebill (cheaper) - A KVD 1.5 in a shad and bluegill will cover a lot of bases -Medium Diver (cheaper) - A Strike King 3XD has caught a ton of largemouth and smallmouth for me. With those 4 baits, you don't have a ton of money invested and you could probably catch fish most days.

Thoughts on Ish's Phat Frog
I used this frog (non-Poppin') religiously last season because I got a ton of bites, including big bites. BUT, it has a flaw IMO that is a major pain. The frog is extremely easy to walk, and for whatever reason vs. other frogs I've thrown in the past it got more bites and bigger bites. I struggled mightily with hook-up ratio though (to the point that'd when I found fish with this frog, I'd follow with a Boohya or Spro to catch them) and after tons of testing it I found out its the rattle inside - I think. I'm hoping someone else may have found a fix for this? Basically, the rattle should stay in the head or top half, but after a few casts it falls into the 'butt' of the frog and then the bait can't collapse when bit. When you move the rattle back up to the head the bait is super soft, it collapses very easily, and you catch fish on almost every bite. Its beyond annoying to be doing this after every few casts though. I like the rattle inside, I just don't know how to keep it pinned to the head. They should mold it into the front half of the frog and it would fix the issue and the frog would be literally perfect. Just my two cents.

Top Water Colors
As others have mentioned, almost certainly no, the top color doesn't matter. Same with spooks. BUT, as anglers its fun to have pretty looking lures . I'm with others, if I had just straight white and straight black (and perhaps a green shade in the middle) for frogs I can pretty much guarantee I'd do just as good as I do with having 20 colors in the box now, since pretty much every one has a black or white bottom anyways.

Rigging Question
Yes, out the top! With swimbaits like that on ball jigs I find it paramount to have them rigged as close to perfectly straight as possible - bunching up or sideways seems to throw the action off big time. To help with this, I'll lay the swimbait over the hook where it should sit and make note of where the hook should come out the top. If I have one handy, I'll even put a tiny dot there with a sharpie, so I have a 'guide' of where my target is.

Sun gloves?
Another vote for Buff gloves as my 'favorite'. But, Glacier and Simms are very good as well. Any are better than a sunburn, IMO.

Swimjig
Agree, trailer on both for me. On a Swim Jig 95% of the time I go with a Paddle Tail Swimbait (3" or 4") or Twin Tail Grub. On a Chatterbait I've experimented a ton and my go-to is an Ike Subwoofer. Idk why, but it just works.

Blades For Swim Jigs
Hey Guys - I started creating my own swim jigs (bought the heads & designed the skirts). I want to turn a few into bladed swim jigs (chatterbait style). Any suggestions on where to find the blades for the front? Thanks! -Ryan
