  1. Everyone loves those charming little jigs. Including the fish.
  2. I sometimes fish them on a weighted belly hook and fish them like a paddle tail swimbait.
  3. FLW has yummy sponsors...
  4. That is the biggest lie I have ever heard.
  5. i believe it is 3.5 oz.
  6. I normally just lift the rod, and the fish almost always hooks itself.
  7. Maximum 4 hooks, trebles=1 hook. So I guess I could put a blade or a hookless bait on the middle wire. And on this lake, weed edges are difficult to fish because the boat I will be fishing out of doesn't have a trolling motor. I could try using the anchor, but I don't think I would cover as much water with it.
  8. Hopefully a frog, wouldn't that be nice.
  9. If tubes count as creatures then I use creatures the most.
  10. Exactly. You caught it, you do what you want with it.
  11. People do that all the time near me. One guy wanted to keep a massive crappie that I had just caught, and he was actually starting to get a bit aggressive, so I quickly tossed it back and left. Anyways, nice fish!
  12. Take notes and learn some new techniques! Have fun!
  13. Very unfortunate. People should be educated better on how to safely operate a watercraft.
  14. I use a satchel bag with 1 3700 and misc tools, leaders and food. If you want to carry much more than that, a backpack would be a much better option.
  15. They gorge on perch and gobies. They do grow monstrous, I have seen them while ice fishing for perch. Just a big shadow...
  16. I thought lake simcoe was a perch lake...
  17. The part about raising the rod is an important tip. And I have caught some large stingrays on 12lb braid in Cuba, no need for 40lb.
  18. I will be going on a trip up to one of the best bass lakes in Canada the last week of August. It's called Rice lake. Very weedy, max depth is like 21 feet. Last year the hot bait was a small crankbait in a red craw colour, but I caught some more on a frog and a spinnerbait. So my question to you is: what are your best producing baits and techniques for the last part of summer. Thank you!
  19. I tend to set the hook vertically also. You will still lose some but a lot more will stay on.
  20. A lot of people don't like it, but a lot of people do like it. I think the reason is that it hasn't been around for long enough to set a reputation like some other Rapalas have done. It works great for me though.
