  1. Like A-Jay said, good luck with trying to hook any fish.. No one ever said you HAVE to throw treble hooked lures on moderate action rods. I have thrown squarebills on an extra fast tipped rod and it has worked.
  2. I'm actually from Southern Indiana lol.

    Woo!!! Congrats on the fish
  4. They were dinks, but that's better than not catching anything at all
  5. I went fishing Sunday and I skunked. Of course I was fishing jigs and jerkbaits with no luck but as soon as a friend shows up and throws a tiny plastic lizard 5 feet from the bank he hooks up on the 2nd cast. I guess the bass's metabolism is too slow that they don't want to be fed big baits yet.

I like to keep it around the 1/4 to 3/8 oz range for what I'm skipping. I use the All Terrain Skip N Jig but I will be trying Siebert's arkys here soon
  7. Water was soft here but the past 24 hrs of rain made the pond I fish all muddy.... didn't catch anything either
  8. Red Label braid + leader FC Sniper for main line
  9. Throw in a Tatula too..
  10. My apologies for my word choice, I had already researched the website beforehand and saw that it was safe to purchase, but I was wondering why they were so heavily discounted
  11. Stout rod and, 50 lb braid, and a high IPT reel. Pick up some frogs with black, white, and yellow bottoms. Brands are up to you
  12. http://www.backcountry.com/costa-prop-polarized-sunglasses-costa-580-glass-lens found this deal and immediately bought the 580G in green mirror... am I good? The link doesn't seem to be working for me but I got them for $130 when they retail or 219
  13. In the morning during the summer
  14. What will you be using this reel for? If you want a long lasting, powerful reel I'd go with the Curado because it has X-Ship which will help extend the life of your reel
  15. You are going to get a lot of answers on this one, and every single option you have will serve you will. Lots of great reels in this range. If you want to save some money you can buy your reels online. I picked up a Curado I for $144, retail $179
  16. E bayAnd for the braking system you can get away with setting two and forgetting them. You'll just use the side adjustment
  17. Take him to a therapist. It is a good sign that he isn't keeping this bottled up inside of him.. that means he is trying to fight it. Also, if he gets time off work, take him fishing if you haven't already. Don't know why but for some reason fishing brings me peace in my mind. I'm sure it helps others too. Best of luck.
  18. A craw color, a bream color, and a sexy shad for me
  19. I just got mine and haven't been able to fish with it yet so I do not know, but I'm sure it will with the right rod. (Assuming by lighter baits you mean the 1/4 oz range) You may want to let other's chime in before you make your decision though.
  20. Too many "professional overruns" lol? I use braid and only have to change when I don't have enough line to cover my backing. Even so you could actually just tie the braid on backwards and use it again.
  21. It is an awesome little reel. It can throw lighter baits pretty well. Feels light and comfortable in hand, and is very smooth. No complaints here.
  22. Bank beater here
  23. It's a matter of preference. Any of these reels will serve you well. I have a Lew's Tournament Pro and I just got a Curado I. With the Curado I, it features the SVS infinity braking system with an external adjustment for further "fine tuning"
  24. Use your frog rod, it can double as a jig rod
