  1. I'm unfamiliar with the reel you're talking about, but I looked it up and it does have an aluminum frame, so I assume it would be a decent reel. If you're open to other options, check out the Lew's Speed Spool or Daiwa Tatula. You can find the Speed Spool for around 80 dollars and the Tatula around 100.
  2. Topwater - Livetarget frog Shallow : Academy CRS Squarebill Medium : Red Eye Shad Bottom : Pit boss, jig
  3. No issues here. If you think the bass are spooked then tie on a leader.
  4. I've never put anything on my leader knot and I've never had any problems.
  5. Have they watched Iaconelli yet?
  6. Alberto is the only one I use. I do 8-10 wraps up and 4-5 wraps down. If tied right it makes a really slim knot. You can use other connecting knots, though. As for the lure end knot, I use a San Diego Jam with fluorocarbon. Again, you can use other knots here.
  7. I don't see them on Ardent's website, and since they must be on a heavy discount that should tell you something. I would much rather buy a trusted brand. All of those fancy specs do is grab customers.
  8. I find the extra stuff, well, excessive.

You can also try e bay
  10. What did the lures include?
  11. Most of the ice and snow has melted here in Indiana.. SPRING HERE I COME!
  12. Having braid as a main line and fluorocarbon leaders does a couple things for me -Saves money, because braid can last for several seasons without having to be replaced. You can buy the filler spools of fluorocarbon and use that as a leader material. A 200 yard spool can last quite a while. -Gives you strength of braid with the invisibility of the fluorocarbon -Shock absorber I back my reels up with braided line, but cheap mono will work as well. I spool around 50 yards of 12 lb mono diameter on my reel that holds 120 yards.

I'd match it with bluegill, but I'm sure any of them would work just fine. The colors don't always have to be the same. Also, you may want to pick up some small boot tail swimbaits as trailers, which will give your swimjigs a different look.
  14. I haven't had any problems with braid-fluoro leader. I use original Power Pro.
  15. As long as it's snow. If you're going to shovel ice like I did charge like 3x as much. My driveway took around 10 hours because the ice was so thick and packed together. Had to use a shovel to break it up and then shovel it away.
  16. Expensive lures have some of the greatest paint jobs, but a disadvantage is a lot of swearing after you lose one.

I've fished them before. They have a good wake but I haven't fished them enough to catch anything.
  18. Wetting a line is better than nothing!
  19. I'm not patient enough to fish a weightless stickbait but I'll take my time with a jig, lol. I'd say I fish plastics 40% of the time
  20. I'll also agree. One day I wasn't catching anything so I threw on a 4" weightless senko. It was a struggle with baitcasting gear, but I still caught 8 fish in the range from dinks to 2 and 3 lbers
  21. Thanks guys. To those that own a Curado I and a Chronarch 50, what is the size difference between the two?
