  1. Wow that is one big fish..
  2. I would at least get the Max 3D, it comes with Fuji Alconites. The Infernos come with stainless steel I believe.
  3. 50/65 lb braid to a 20 lb mono leader
  4. Lipless cranks here too. I'm also going to try jerkbaits and gain confidence in those.
  5. Red Craw, Chartreuse black back, and a shad color.
  6. Yes, you can calculate how many turns of the handle you must make to get your desired amount of backing. My spool holds 120 yards of line, so I will spool half of it up with backing. With a 6.4:1 gear ratio reel or 28 IPT, its around 50-60 turns of the handle. I will just estimate, because it doesn't have to be exactly 60 yards.

Rage Craw on a 3/16 oz tungsten bullet weight. Don't need to explain why it is a must have. It just is
  8. May use casting jigs, at least that's what I do with my jig rod.
  9. Skinny Dipper Havoc Grass Pig Rage Menace Rage Craw Pit Boss
  10. B+ I just recently got back into fishing last spring/early summer and I don't know why I stopped in the first place. Got my first baitcaster by the beginning of summer and eventually got 2 other rods. I didn't catch any lunkers, but I rarely skunked. Good enough for me.
  11. If I win that justifies buying a new reel right?????????
  12. With the new technology we have today, rods have been improved to handle braided lines. I think it's safe to say that pretty much all rods can handle it. Now, l would agree with the others about cheaper rods.
  13. Sounds like it's a great few days to introduce someone to the sport!
  14. How did you hook up the fish grip to the small luggage scale? A big split ring? And how much does the fish grip add to the weight of it?
  15. A depleted supply of a certain bait even though I have plenty other things to fish with. Also, TW's sales are irresistible.
  16. The TP is an awesome little reel. Got mine for around 150 on flea bay. Just another suggestion, you could get a Curado I for around $140. I am thinking about getting one myself.
  17. I'd make that judgement by what kind of water you're fishing. I like braid to a leader for casting and pitching.
  18. Yamamoto grub on a darter head
  19. That pitch from that distance looked pretty difficult, can't blame him. Also, you could tell the crowd was very bored with the dog show as they guy kept asking them to "make more noise" lol.
  20. The elements are what separates the men from the boys, but it would be nice to see the Classic in a spring or summer environment like Ish Monroe had said.
  21. Very important. When you're flipping sometimes the fish will just lightly eat it, and you won't realize what has happened if your rod is not very sensitive.
