  1. How do you 'google' an image?
  2. Cool. How'd you find out so quickly? Does customizing it like he did make it easier to fish?
  3. And is it used for fishing? Interesting that it has a center console.
  4. I emailed them. Here's the response I got.
  5. Thanks. I read those descriptions, confusing. They seem the same. Which is why I started this thread. lol. Thx!
  6. I'm looking at getting some Inflatable PFDs during this years sales. I like the Mustangs because they won't inflate unless under water pressure (4 inches), not accidently from water, spray, or humidity. I don't know of any other IPFD that will do that. I just don't know what the difference between the Mustang Elite 28K Inflatable PF, Elite™ 28 Inflatable PFD, Elite™ Inflatable PFD (Bass Competition), HIT™ Inflatable PFD is? I am not a tournament fisherman and only want these for safety and fishing. When I went to Tackle Warehouse they had the Mustang 38 as the Mustang Elite 38 HIT.....so is it the 38 or the HIT? So, what's the difference between all of these and what is the best for me? I saw that Cabelas has their own brand and it is on sale, but it doesn't say if they will open only under pressure or not. If you know of any brand that can do this and is reliable, feel free to throw that name out there. Thank you in advance.
  7. Totally correct....you may also get a bigger boat someday. Also make sure that the garage door height is high enough, especially if you add Talons or Power Poles.
  8. Why don't you want a transom saver on the bigger motors? What are you supposed to use? What are some of the supports you recommend?
  9. Definitely make sure it's a little big vs. just right....things have a way of being larger than you expect. Also make sure the garage doors width is important! My single stall doors are like 1/2" too narrow for my boat to fit.
  10. Try this method. Your single Senko may last up to 20 trips.
  11. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I think Dual Pro is the best.
  12. Thanks. I have looked into them. What about Lund trailers vs. Ranger trailers? Ranger trailers seem to have some nice features like Road Armor coating and manual brakes.
  13. Friend who used to be a bass Pro had a kid and as it got older he sold his Skeeter bass boat for a Ranger 621. He still bass fished a ton but not as much professionally if I recall. His wife and kid never were able to go. He sold his 621 and got a Ranger bass boat.
  14. It's a give and take brother. I have a friend who's a grandfather in his 60's and he can still take his grandkids trapping and fishing and stuff. Which is great. Because I'm older I wonder if when/if I'm a grandfather I'll be physically able to do that type of stuff with my grandkids because of my age. I wish I had had my kids in my mid 20's, not nearly 40.
  15. I think the prices of new boats and trucks is ridiculous. I am having my first kid at almost 40, live with my wife, and both have stable jobs. So I'm at a little different point in my life. Doesnt mean I don't think $70k on a boat is crazy though.
  16. Wow. Surprised that the Ranger is cheaper. What did they price out at? Was it base boats or did you add certain features? Anyone else think the price of new ridiculous?
  17. Just open the lower unit plug. Let a little out. Put plug back in. Done. If any water is in the LU it should be pushed out first. That's what I was told.
  18. Perfect. What would be a better boat, a Lund Pro V or Ranger 621FS? Would they be similar in price?
  19. Central Minnesota. I fish fairly shallow lakes like Forest Lake, Bald Eagle, Whitebear and others. Not big lakes like Mille Lacs or Vermillion. A friend recommended the Ranger 621 multi-species. It seems like a nice boat but the back deck is fairly small and cannot have a pedastal seat. I think a longer back deck is nice if a kid wants to sleep back there and obviously the pedestal seat is nice. I see that the Ranger Reata has that exact back deck that I think is good. Too bad the 621 doesn't have a back deck like that.
  20. This is what I do. 1. Change our the lower unit oil. (Always in the fall so if there is any water in there it will be removed for winter and not freeze.) 2. Fill gas tank and add Stabil and Seafoam ( I do it every fill up anyway ). 3. Fog the engine ( take out plugs, fog, put plugs back in, but not tightly like normal ). 4. Batteries: if you have a charger that trickle charges/maintains the battery, just leave connected all year long. Re-greasing the bearings and prop can't hurt. Changing the filters can't hurt either but I've never heard of doing it every year. I do not change out plugs in the winter. I leave the old ones in all winter. Then in the spring when I run my motor in the tank I have the old plugs in to burn off the fogging agent. I then go fishing one time and run that motor at full throttle for a good bit and make sure there isn't anymore fogging smoke. Once I get home I put in new spark plugs for the rest of the year.
  21. I've tried both and like the Fastach a lot better. Haven't had a northern straighten one yet.
  22. Great point about being in the boat vs. on the boat. That Ranger 621 looks nice! I like that it has a larger now area than the Tyee. So after 30 mins do you go home?
