  1. What type of glue? Would RTV silicone work?
  2. This is true. My friend checked the rear tire on my truck. Later that day drove to work and the tire came un-bolted and flew down the road.
  3. O. Not being sarcastic. Never heard that before.
  4. I know there's two main ways to handle getting new tires for your boat. One is to bring the whole boat and trailer into the local tire shop and the other is to just bring the old tires in and have them replaced. I have larger tires, regular car size I believe, and the boat came with expensive, upgraded rims, so I won't just be buying whole new tires and wheels like I did for my smaller boat that had smaller tires. So the tires or boat/trailer need to go to the shop. What route do you normally go?
  5. Thx guys. Yeah, I already have the rod sleeves which I use with the rod organizer. I'll look into the hole saw and P-trap.
  6. Thx guys. I did change the OP. I should have specified that I don't necessarily need more capacity and that I just want 2 larger rod tubes for my spinning rods which have bigger eyes.
  7. Do you know how he cut the holes?
  8. Anyone ever do it? I saw this video and would like to do it on my own but I researched it and no one says what tools you need or exactly how they did it. The below guy basically shows the before and after but didn't show him cutting the holes, how he cut them, or what tools he used. I need to enlarge or add new rod tubes because my spinning rod's eyes are too big to go into the current holders. If you've done this, like below, added rod holes and tubes, how did you do it and what tools did you use? Note: I want to keep the rod organizer in there. I do not need more capacity. I just want to make space for 2 spinning rods since the rod holders are too narrow for the spinning rod's eyes. If all of the current rod holders were larger, I wouldn't need to do anything. If possible I could just cut 2 of the rod holders larger and add larger tubes. I don't own a ton of rods and don't plan too, I only use like 4 baitcasting and 2 spinning rods. I do use the rod sleeves in conjunction with the rod holders now.
  9. Good point. It seems to get expensive quick. I I think I going to try try manual stapler with SS staples first.
  10. Whoa. I actually hit a big rock today fishing with my friend. Terrova is still going strong, no damage.
  11. O, I don't have an air compressor. So, I'll want to use a T50 or other manual stapler, which should be fine, I'm guessing? The staples are on the outside edge of the chairback. For some reason I can't post photos, I tried in the OP. I want staples that are 1/2" crown, 3/8 length or longer, and no larger than 18 gauge, correct?
  12. Thanks. I would have never thought about SS staples. That's important. Why if not visible you an use a T-50, while I'm assuming if it's visible you have to use a different kind of stapler. What kind of stapler is needed for visible? This is a visible one.
  13. The middle lay down seat in my 2014 Stratos is coming apart. Apparently the edge is closed with staples and it pulled out. I figure re-stapling shouldn't be too hard. I I was wondering what size staples are required, if there is a standard size for this, if I can use a regular large, heavy duty staple gun, and if I should use any type of goop or glue in conjunction with the staples. I know that one poster on here suggested taking that seat out, but I don't wish to do that.
  14. I like using twist-lock style hooks for Super Flukes because they seem to last longer that way. What size twist-lock hook should I use for Zoom Super Flukes?
  15. Ah.....found it. Weird, when I went to their webpage earlier I didn't find this. http://www.minnkotamotors.com/Who-We-Are/News/Press-Releases/Details/Minn-Kota-Unveils-Reinvented-Spot-Lock-at-ICAST-2016/
  16. Sorry, no. All I saw was this: I didn't see anything about Icast or best of show in that post. I was asking about the Ulterra, not the Ultrex. I do not want a cable driven TM.
  17. Is this insider information? I didn't see anything on this when I searched for it.
  18. I don't know if I'd get used to it. I have size 5-1/2 kids feet. lol. It took a ton of pressure for me to make cable steers works. And I've tried different ones. If if they had the little directional buttons on the edge of the foot pedal like the Terrovas have, maybe it would work better. I wonder why they haven't done that yet? I only use the little directional buttons on my Terrova and not the foot pedal for the same reason.
  19. I like the feature that Wayne P. said about the improved spotlock. What I hated about my Terrova is that you had to use the remote for spotlock. I almost never used the remote and always had to bring it out just to use spotlock. I thought it would be nice if they had a spotlock button on the footpedal and now they do. So, that's nice. For some reason mine would be on spotlock and after about 5 minutes it would just turn off and drift away. Perhaps it's a warranty issue. I think the auto deploy/stow is nice like you said, you save time just hitting the button and can get to grabbing your gear or whatever. Also, bending over and deploying and stowing the Terrova all the time can wear you out and put strain on your back. Also, if you're in big waves it can be dangerous. Being able to auto trim is nice, like you said, when you get a stuck lure and need to go into shore you don't have to worry about your rod, the boat colliding with something, and the depth of the water. I love the fact that it can all be done without a remote, and just the footpedal, which is what I'll be doing.
  20. The problem with the Ultrex is that it doesn't have Spotlock, auto deploy, or auto trim, that I now of. I just switched from a cable to a electric. I hated the cable. So hard to use. I don't know why it was, maybe bc I'm short but my leg for tired from just an hour of fishing and fighting that thing. And the tension was low too.
  21. Ah. So if Ulterras go on sale this fall they maybe just getting rid of the older models. Is there gonna be a new name or anything? How will you know if you're getting one of the new ones? Will it say, "New & Improved"?
