  1. Mid way mark would be nice
  2. Just buy everything, monkey will be well fed.
  3. You want a rod thats fairly easy to load up and bend, not one thats stiff. A MH-MF is good
  4. Did you try to google "treble hook with blade"? If not, do try.
  5. Hate the VMC swimbait weights. Gamakatsu catch stuff too since its squared off. I use owner beast for fishing in grass, gamakatsu in rocks
  6. For crankbaits that only dive to 10ft you can use a 6:1 gear ratio reel as well. Some people, like myself, will use 7:1 or even 8:1.
  7. 30lb braid to 14lb mono for my dd22, 6XD and 8XD
  8. no point of using a ball bearing swivel. The only thing the swivel does is to act as a stopper for your weight, and allows for a different leader material. The swivel doesnt even need to spin, you can substitute it with a solid ring and it wont make any difference.
  9. I use tungsten flipping weights. I use it in 3/16, 1/2 and 3/4oz depending on water depth and size of bait.
  10. 20lb braid to 10lb fluoro with alberto, 10lb fluoro to bait with uni
  11. Ripping a jerkbait doesnt cut the line, if its being cut its something else. I personally use a uni knot and havnt had it fail on a jerkbait yet.
  12. I use 7.4:1 and 8:1. I dont have problems keeping a 3/8oz with keitech right above the bottom at 10-12ft
  13. if this is happening to you, you are doing it wrong. you keep constant contact with the bottom on a tight line. there is no bow or slack. its a tight line between you and the weight at all times.
  14. If you think that money to performance is a linear thing. its not. you pay more and more money for less and less increase in performance. money to performance graph is not a straight line, its a curve. thats how business works.
  15. No leader, probably fluoro
  16. My reels' drags are too high for the lines I use on them, doesnt make sense to have it on max. You always want your drag to be below your line strength, otherwise you'l break it. if you want to fish locked down drag, just use heavier lines. I adjust my drag according to what im fishing.
  17. If you guys watch bamabass on youtube, the guy catches double didgits frequently, and all he uses for jigs and texas rigs is 17lb stren mono. I personally dont like fluoro, but will use it if im going to be dragging stuff on the bottom all day.
  18. I use 30lb braid to 14lb sufix elite mono for jigs a lot. I catch fish just fine, dont notice any difference with 30lb braid to 15lb fluoro that i also use.

Japan has a ton of small frogs. Booyah, matzuo, livetarget all make 1/4oz frogs
  20. the material that braided lines are made of doesnt absorb the ink, so it will eventually fade. Think of it like you coloring a crankbait with a marker, it will retain its brightness/original hue of the color for a while, then slowly fades.
  21. Iv caught fish in 6inches of visibility with a c-rig, but its not my first choice. Usually a 3rd or 4th pick after other rigs fail. I use tungsten sinker, no beads or clackers, 2ft leader, 4" craws or creature baits.
  22. 1 spinning and 1 baitcast is the way to go
