  1. I throw a very wide variety of lipless cranks. my 3 most commonly used are 1/2oz cotton cordell super spot, 3/4oz lucky craft LV500 and 3/4oz lucky craft LV500GP. I mainly fish these in 6-10ft of water, and I usually burn these things with twitches incorporated into the retrieve.
  2. for baits under 1.5oz, 17lb should be fine.
  3. i mostly use 30lb braid to 12lb mono for jerkbaits in the warmer months, and 20lb braid to 10lb fluoro for colder months
  4. I had the 6'10" MH. I really like the way the rod performed, but it felt a bit too stiff to me for bladed jigs and spinnerbaits. Its got good sensitivity, pretty light, and I wouldv kept it for jigs and plastics if I didnt have a better rod already. I havnt fished with the 7'4", but it should be good for what you intend to do.
  5. leaving all your tackle in the car is just asking for stuff to break
  6. I use 30lb braid with 14lb mono because I fish mine on a H-MF rod
  7. Daiwa Tatula or Fenwick Elite Tech Bass are pretty good rods around your price point
  8. based on my experience with the previous PQ, I would not be buying the new one if the only thing thats different is the weight. Tatulas have a smoother drag, better brake system and feels more solid in hand when fighting a fish.
  9. theres already a thread on this
  10. depends on what it is. I have $1 bargain bin lures as well as $70 gan craft swimbaits in the same box that gets used equally. you have to try it out yourself.
  11. if theres a 2pc that separates in the middle, im down to try it. Otherwise, no, cant even carry it around
  12. google is a good tool to learn to use
  13. I think they use 3X mustad hooks
  14. yes, pretty sharp out of the package. delivery takes 2-3 weeks for me. You also dont need to order $40 at a time. even if you only order a few items, the shipping is $2-3.
  15. hooks are very beefy. Heres a 1/2oz
  16. if you are talking about omfishingsinkers, they are as good as any tungsten you'l find on the market. Iv ordered from them many times, and I use their flipping jigs a lot
  17. at low price points (sub$70), the reel is more important because its more prone to breakage. At mid price points($100-200) the rod takes priority because the performance of reels are about the same in that price point. At higher price points ($300-500) its a toss up
  18. most worms low in salt will slowly float
  19. Im using a 7.3:1 for swimbaits up to 8.5"
  20. I got one in bass color 2 years ago and caught 2-3 fish on it. Its got a good action, casts well and has good hardware. I havnt thrown it much because for some reason fish in my area dont hit wakebaits as good as other topwater
  21. dip in boiling water for 5 seconds at a time
  22. I use 1/4 and 3/8oz tungsten arky/ballhead jigs as my finesse jigs
