I always use a leader when possible, theres no downside and you don't have to worry about whether your leader matters or not

Do you ride a bike? if so, your bike gears perfectly reflect reel gears. when you go uphill, you dont use high gears, but switch to low ones, and when you go downhill or on flat ground, you switch to high gear.

I dont use swivels on my c-rigs. I use braid to a mono leader. I slide my sinker on, then 2-3 bobber stops, then i tie my bait on. This setup allows me to change my leader length, and retie the section between the weight and the bait as needed when it gets worn.

Do the holes in the blade change the way the bait acts? does it make it ride higher/lower in the water?

My JDM zillion and alphas came in white boxes, my USDM spinning reels came in black. Iv seen red boxes on really old team daiwa millionaires and spinning reels, i may have seen blue but cant recall, never seen green

You can frog with a MH rod no problem, your old rod probably broke because of mishandling, such as highsticking, banging it around, etc. It could just be a defective rod as well. As far as frogs are concerned, there are frogs with very thick hooks (such as livetarget frogs), and ones with thinner hooks (such as booyah padcrasher). Use one with thinner hook
