I fish my worms and jigs on 30lb braid to 14lb mono a lot. I too use the alberto knot. Braid to leader is the way to go for best sensitivty while reraining abrasion resistance against rocks.

you would want a rod thats M or MH power depending on the weight and cover you are fishing, 7'-8' long depending on how comfortable you are with a longer rod, and a 7:1 or 8:1 reel because when you are working the worm, your actions will be imparted by the rod, and the reel is only for picking up line.

Iv used both, currently own Zillion SV TW. If you have the option, go with Zillion. I have cast 1/4oz Xraps on a H/MF rod with my zillion sv tw and I dont lose control.

Not all SV spools act the same, some such as the Tatula SV, will have much stronger breaking force than a Zillion VS TW.

Nope, I take 1 plano 3600 box and whatever fits in there is all I ever take.

I use the gancraft screwbait at night and got some fish on it. Iv also had good luck with the evergreen propmagic 95. That thing wobbles real good on the fall. Both of these can be fished on heavier line (i use 14lb mono) and can be burned

It could also be 3/4oz. I havnt had a keitech for a long time, but i think my 3.8s were just under 1/2oz
