  1. for something that light, 1 inch or less. I personally use gulp alive 1 inch fry with a 1/16oz jighead for panfish
  2. I dont know about waterproof, but reelsonar is pretty good
  3. drag has absolutely nothing to do with the issue, that looks like a failed anti-reverse, send it back
  4. If you are hooking them so deep that its killing them, circle hooks are not the way to go. Circle hooks are much harder to remove when hooked in the throat. Better off using a regular wacky hook and pinching the barb.
  5. take extra long length of line and make sure you wraps are spaced further apart. this will help the return wrap go between the out going ones. once you get better, you can waste less line and tie better
  6. tie your braid on normally, then put tape on top of it and tape it in place. Then wind it on tightly. Your initial loop will be held on by the electric tape, and subsequent wraps will have the tape to grip onto.
  7. Daiwa better spool options, great braking system, says Daiwa
  8. For all my reels, I set the spool tension so there is about a 1mm wobble in the spool, and set my breaks on 3/20 for Daiwa reels, 1/6 internal and 2 external for shimano metaniums.
  9. no, unless you are tying 60lb braid to 8lb mono, or something similar, dont worry about line diameter. leader length depends on a lot of things, too many to explain properly. since you are new at it, tie about a 6ft leader.
  10. Yes I care. I like my equipment to work good and look good.
  11. its good for carolina rig, not sure about frogs
  12. when you punch, your rod does not have enough power for the hookset and to drive the fish out of thick cover
  13. You can do anything you want with it, except heavy duty stuff like punching, if its your only rod.
  14. Unfortunately it only prevents cottonseeds from entering your reel, your guides can still get clogged
  15. Tip guide is 2mm inner diameter
  16. Had one, sold it for another zillion sv tw
  17. It really depends on a lot of stuff, but for normal sizes of lures, i use for 20min or so, and for big baits, an hour or so
  18. I know to put a trailer on mine if that's what you are saying
  19. ok, you go do that.
  20. rod in my right hand always, need to hookset power
  21. Ya but a spinnerbait has the blades for attraction.
  22. no, that sounds pointless
  23. call tacklewarehouse and ask them about it
